Looked canny I thought. Good frame on him, solid on the ball. Positionally needs to improve but the DB will progress him quickly.

Standard of their league is absolute toilet though so caution required.

aye but clearly has the tools and I don’t think he will take too long to adapt. Not immediate.

1 nowt Mariners. I actually shouted "Get in" out loud <laugh>

I remember shouting "get the f**k in" at 2 in the morning playing fifa (unwinding after a back shift), when a last hope hoof ball from the back after defending a Man U corner, bounced over Phil Jones head, was then taken down and controlled by my Sunderland striker and smash in the top corner from 18 yards out for a 98th minute winner. 3-2 Sunderland.... I was 35 at the time... rest of the house was fuming.

Totally agree. The striker he was up against might be the "deadliest" in the A League, but could only manage 4 goals in 35 games over 2 years with Shrewsbury and 11 goals in 29 games for Dundee in the Scottish second tier and is now leaving to play in India. Not putting him down, but Adam Le Fondre has been a star player there for years. It shows the standard isn't very high.

Not knocking him, but I'd be very surprised if he's in the first team next season, more likely in the under 23s to develop or a loan out.

You’re talking about Jason Cummings who plays for the same team as the defender we’re signing…

The tweet is about Jamie McLaren :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Will we be entering our U21s in the pappa johns trophy next year? dont know if its automatic? not sure why we wernt in last year, maybe new promoted teams dont go in?

That cup early doors will be absolurely crucial to get some of the new young lads introduced into the english game

Is it not just for PL teams?

The amount of times they got round the edge of the 18yd box and I was thinking Clarke or Roberts would have buried that.
A few times, Man U found that little bit of space on the edge of the box but just carried on passing it around. Against Man City you’ve just got to ****ing hit it when those half opportunities come. You’re definitely not going to score if you don’t shoot.
