Not so sure about that personally. He might well not end up here, but Man Utd might not be so against it as all that.

Clubs like Man Utd spend a lot of time thinking about where players should go on loan. Trust is the biggest factor in their decision. First and foremost they need to trust the player will be coached in a way that suits Man Utd and in an evironment that is of the highest standard. Then they need to trust thd player will get the right amount of game time, with the right level of pressure. We tick loads of boxes for Man Utd. They can easily extend his contract and send him back here expecting him to play 40 games in a side chasing promotion from a very competitive league.

I dont see sides from top european league playing european football taking him. Man Utd fit that description so they might as well keep him. Holland/Portugal possibly, but will they meet the needs of the loan other than higher level of football? Would Feyenord commit to him playing week in week out?

I think there are many more benefits of Man Utd sending him here again than people give us credit for.

I hope I'm wrong, I'd absolutely love to see him back here.

Nope and wouldnt want him tbh. Was class when he was here but weve moved on since then

Im really excited to see how Neil n Ekwah do next season - we still need 1/2 more CMs to challenge them

Feels good to be in a position to say that someone like M'Vila wouldn't get in our team and I agree I wouldn't want him either, unless he were to fill in for Evans as experienced backup. Can't see that happening somehow.

I agree with the sentiments above but that doesn't mean that if it did happen I wouldn't go absolutely mental :D

As expected - it was Michut who chose not to join us. Could tell by the language Speakman used

He left PSG because he wanted game time and fair play to the lad if he’s done the same here. He thinks he’s good enough to play every week, and I agree with him to be honest. He’s never really been given a fair chance it’s a few starts here or there, but Neil was never going to be dropped to fit him in the team in his preferred role.

His counterpart Xavi Simons left PSG at the same time and went to PSV - the pair of them were meant to be head and shoulders above the rest of the B team. He’s been playing every week and has taken the Dutch golden boot, qualified for Europe again etc so Michut could well be thinking why am I wasting my time here…

Be playing at a very high level in the next few years imo.

I honestly think we were the wrong move for him. A loan was silly really in hindsight. He needed to be a permanent so that we were invested in developing him. Instead he was always going to be slightly behind those here permanently in terms of preference.

He needed to move permanently somewhere not loan somewhere that would take significant adaptation for him.

I also dont think the league suits him, he is better going abroad to play his football - will have a good career

I liked Michut too and think he merited more game time than he got here, but unless Dan had got injured I could not see him being successful in a 2 man midfield with so many small players already in the side, it was a case of wrong place wrong time for him imo. I was going to post a few days ago about whether he or Dan would have the most successful career in the game , having had similar thoughts about Arnott and Marangoni a few years back, but had second thoughts. I don,t think he will go as far as Marangoni , but I will look out for him all the same, and good luck to the lad , just like Joffy he never let us down.

All English leagues including the top one are very physical and fast. There is room of course for smaller less physical technical players but a side can’t afford too many and they’re often out wide.

I know I know it’s not happening but this is two days in a row our admin has posted something like this and it definitely feels like a charm offensive.

once is a coincidence. Twice is either lazy or flirting. (Probably lazy)

They surely know people are going to get their hopes up, need to stop posting about him

Just allow yourselves to close your eyes and imagine this scenario.

  • We went to United and said we want Amad on loan again
  • United said no they want to loan him to a top league or sell him
  • We’ve asked them to name their price
  • They’ve told us they’ll do a deal at a lower price than they paid but with a buy back clause and substantial sell on percentage. This allows them to recoup their investment eventually whilst also freeing up funds for ETH’s rebuild this summer
  • We’ve gone away to think about it and worked out if we can afford the capital investment to buy him
  • Donald had said he can’t afford his 9% so has sold up
  • KLD and sartori now freed up to make the bid
  • This evening Romano tweets “I understand Man Utd have agreed a fee with Sunderland for the permanent transfer of Amad Diallo”

now wake up.

sorry lads but it was fun for a bit :D
