It wouldn't be a transfer window without him being linked!

Last season? When we had Broadhead as backup to Stewart?I meant no second striker
Not for me Clive. 28 years old and unproven/not good enough at Championship levelIt wouldn't be a transfer window without him being linked!

21 Championship goals in 98 games and will be 29 before the start of the season.I don’t disagree but he scored more goals in a **** Peterborough side in the championship than any of our players did in a side that created loads of chances.
don’t think he’s right but he’d be nowhere near as bad as many make out

Doesn't inspire me with confidence, especially when you factor in that he takes their penalties
I can argue that L1 is irrelevant when assessing his suitability for top end ChampionshipYes but most of those games were before he turned 23 and he was clearly a late bloomer.
12 in 41 in Peterborough’s last championship season, when they were pants and didn’t create anything, and 26 and 31 in the two league one seasons either side. Can’t really argue with that.
Yeh sorry I meant you can’t argue with his scoring record, not you can’t argue with my point. Anybody can argue with any bodies pointI can argue that L1 is irrelevant when assessing his suitability for top end Championship
I get what you are saying - scored an average amount of goals in a poor team suggests he could score a reasonable amount in a good team
Ultimately I trust the club and it's recruitment. What will be, will be
Not sure why. He’s always banging them in in league one. Arguably one of their best players
I can't get away and will never get away from the fact we didn't re sign Broadhead. So many if you were against it citing injuries etc. I still maintain he was the ideal type for us and would have given us so many options.
FoolCan't quite recall but I thought the rumour was that we did try to get him again but he didn't fancy it because he wasn't sure he'd get a game with Stewart and Simms ahead of him. So he went a level down where he was guaranteed games.
Whatever the case I think he's a good player and will do well for Ipswich in the championship. He's a natural goal scorer.

Fool
Nailed on to fill his boots, pull up trees, lay land to waste... ffs man can't think of whatever else he's going to do to us next season...
Never slag a player off or he'll bite you on the arse.. it was a jokeNot sure what you're on about tbh.

For me I think we missed a striker more at home than away but looking forward it means we can attack indifferent ways and can on occasion cross a ballI agree that the goal drought than I anticipated did not happen with Stewart out. We found other ways to score, spot on.
But having your cake and eating it, Steward would have given another attacking option, especially on the 'out' ball.
He would also have been useful in defence
This is true. Also, did you see his performance in the second leg of the play offs, absolutely rancid. Stay well clear.Reputedly he has a poor attitude. This is from Peterborough fans
