Summer window aside, what do you think the club should be doing between now and the start of next season in terms of preparation and why?
1. Full review of medical facilities & practices, including management of individual players' fitness, training and post match recovery. Reinstall the cryochamber - injuries have really done for us this year and there's no point having an exciting young team if you can't get them on the pitch often enough. A pre-season physical preparation like the Di Canio medical team's would have seen us promoted imho.
2. Pre-season starts today. Yes, there may be two or three weeks holiday, but we have to impress upon these lads the necessity to keep themselves right over the break. Quite a few of them could be doing with being a lot stronger, for example.
3. A few days of 'debriefings' for the players before they go away - what went well over the season, what didn't, and what we want from them next year and agree a course of action to achieve that. For example - the new centre half who looks like he'd go over in a strong breeze. Three months to get bigger and stronger.
