One thing that's obvious with Jack, all the lads to be fair is they are really enjoying their time at SAFC loving playing and playing well. To most it's their first opportunity to get a proper run in a first team. But with Clarke he made a move that stalled his career so won't be looking t repeat that trick again, think Roberts is similar knows how his career can stall if he goes to clubs that don't work for him so will be loving life here!

Agree. I'd like to thin a few of them have learned from their experiences of moving too soon, hopefully the likes of Cirkin will look at what happened to the likes of Roberts and stay for a few seasons yet.

Hopefully they will also tell the other players life is not always greener.

IF we get into the Premier League..

What's the odds we will say spend £30m each on 10 players... £300m in total.

Will that be the model?

I know this is all hypothetical but would we need 10 new players if and it's a if if we hold into our squad as it is.
Yes we need some new blood, but we also need to keep our promising youngsters who aren't featuring regularly in with a shout of the first team, buying in bulk would shove them down the pecking order which would be a bad thing imo.

IF we go up, only Ekwah, Neil, and Michut are (or will be) good enough to be "starters" in the Prem, IMO. Ba no clue, haven't seen enough of him. Evans and Pritch should be bench options at best. Embo and Matete not good enough I don't think, unfortunately.

I know footballs changed since 2007 but is this team stronger than the Roy Keane side that stopped up? I think with a few additions it would be comfortably better

Clarke, Roberts, Ballard, Cirkin all will be good enough (big ask to be good enough in a team that are all new to the league and is the only doubt for me) and probably Patterson?

Where's the £300M + agents fees and wages coming from? We've just had 4 years in league one and that sounds like best part of half a billion quid!

I'd rather we spent nowt than go bust whilst destroying the good work, team spirit and player development seen recently to be honest!
