Everyone is massively down playing the Stewart situation in my opinion.

Stewart, Simms and Amad have scored 44% of our league goals this season - 29 in total, despite 2 of them not playing half a season.

We don't just need to replace that this summer, we need to score so much more to make up a 30 point gap between ourselves and the Champions position in this division.

I have all the faith in the world in our recruitment team finding young talent to develop, but making up that number of goals will take proven talent, or a higher pedigree than we're usually able to sign. Losing Stewart would be a huge blow.

I don't think it's down playing it mind. We HAVE managed without him, though obviously we'd have benefitted from his goals had he played.

But for me, it doesn't look like we are his priority. He shouldn't be ours if that is the case.

He is absolutely outstanding imo and as good a finisher he is, it's probably the weakest part of his game. He puts himself about and holds it up like a man possessed for every minute of every match he plays like we are 1-0 down in the fa cup final! Full season fit and he would have easily established himself as one of top scorers in this league imo (he scored 10 in 13), then you have everything else he provides on the pitch and we are screening big offers for his signature!

Will be gutted if he goes to Stoke as it isn't for footballing reasons if it happens.

If we get promoted though can't see us losing any of these lads. Only one we can't say no to an offer for is Cirkin but I assume Cirkin can say no?

Fully agree mate.

Mind, I’d be devastated to lose Cirkin. Injuries are what they are, seems to be easing off on them, and the lad is superb. Could easily play first 11 for 14 PL teams no IMO.

Cashin linked from Derby, would be a cracking signing. Good on the ball and has good physicality, left sided CB as well, which would then mean we could loan Anderson out

Hope Derby dont go up as i'd def take Cashin n Bird (possibly even knight), more likely to get them if Derby dont go up

I’d be all for this he’s not the biggest but looks to have a good leap when I’ve seen him, 60 games at 21 isn’t a bad feat no matter what the level

Yeah bird is a player i was mentioning loads last summer, really tidy player and breaks up play well.

Caskin didnt impress me 1st few times i watched him but hes got better n better since then

Knight was the most highly rated of the lot, works so hard for the team - i just dont know his best position (either a no10 or no8 i think)

I’ll be keeping a keen eye on them in the play offs if they get in, good club Derby probably got a soft spot for them as it’s the first place I seen us win away

Seen a lot of Cashin. First thing is he doesnt look like a footballer when he comes out to warm up, more like a weightlifter. Thighs like Gabbiadini.

He is ultra aggressive on the pitch, quicker than he looks. Can get a bit outdone positionally because he can chase his man when he drops in deep. Decent on the ball, without being excellent. Definitely on an upward curve.

Just asked my lad, who never misses a Derby game, and he says he shouldnt be in league 1 at all, but that we can do one for less than £3m if they dont go up.

Looks like they'll get in, though it's an interesting end to the season. They go to Sheff Wed and a point or more probably means they'll face Sheff Wed in the playoffs too. Sheff Wed may want to beat them to get the upper hand ahead of the playoffs which would give Peterborough a chance. But Peterborough go to Barnsley who are in the playoffs too and Barnsley won't want to lose to a team that they may face in the playoffs.

Whether they go up is a whole other matter though. The 4 clubs who will probably end up in those playoffs are all Championship clubs at least in my opinion.

I fancy one of Bolton or Barnsley to go up both in alright form, don’t think Moore has it in him to get Wednesday back up for it, whoever scrapes 6th I see struggling

If I were Moore tomorrow I would have someone get stuck right into McGoldrick. If he were to be injured Derby would struggle.

I haven't really watched enough of that league to know what I'm talking about, but Barnsley have a knack of getting out of that League. There's an awful lot of pressure to carry when you're a club the size of Sheff Wed or Derby.

I wouldnt fancy Derby mate. They are in that transition we were in first season. Decent players, but not yet worked out how to handle the games where football isnt the game played. Sheff Wed, just not sure they have what it needs, either coaches or players. I think Bolton are on the right path personally.

Sheff wed v derby on sky today, be good to get a look at Cashin in a high stakes game, should be a cracker sure there’s still some needle form their time in the championship
