I’m very positive about the model and the direction we are going. But Roberts going and a poor day tomorrow will see the tide turn and I’m not sure those at the top will be able to recover fan belief. Concerned.

There is more too it. But he wont post it on his channel. Obviously won't share or break confidence but we have been in DM most of the week and got the same conclusion on majority of things.

Honest opinion, do you think Roberts goes?

Would have to question what our business is if we sell the likes of Roberts. Is it the money business or the successful football club business?

Everyone is for sale at the club, everyone mate. we need to get used to these kind of windows mate. Self sustainable points to money outweighing success slightly in my opinion

Problem is, sell most of your best players, then you can't then play the football that allows the remaining good players to excel, meaning we'll go backwards.

The model only works if we sell in dribs and drabs. Selling them all at once ****s us.

I can just about cope with losing players at the right price. That's the way it goes at the clubs I assume we are looking at to model ourselves on. It's leaving it last minute with no replacements lined up or panic buying last minute which is stressing me out.

Clubs young/reserve players are going for 40 mill FFS.

I agree. That's why I posted about a week ago, at what point do WE kick on as a club. I think we'll be tested with a few bids for other players tomorrow. imo, the Clake situation has went a bit to quiet for my liking aswell.

This only feels all at once though because of the timing this late in the window.

If its "just" Roberts and Stewart its okay for me aslong as we can replace them in the same window. I fear (obviously) that we can't.

Our issue now may well be that we are scrambling to replace them.

Again its why letting players run down to have 12 months and just hoping nobody comes in for them in a really stupid strategy. Because you will end up getting offers you can't afford to refuse.

If Clarke was to go tomorrow as well, we may as well start planning for life back in League One.
