Yes of course end of the window.... agreed

But its obvious with Amad missing, goals and the triangle with Roberts and Hume is lacking.

Its been months now, plenty of time to sort the Striker problem out. Ie line up replacements or get the LND stalement resolved.
Its not as simple as that, i work for a club who lost our 2 best players this window - we knew they were leaving but we havent replaced them yet, its not through a lack of trying or anything like that its just not that easy - especially when it comes to strikers

Amad will be a miss but we didnt have him this time last yr so still time to bring in quality players

I will worry if at the end of the window we dont have any more forward players but im not worrying now

Of course today was s**t, we are a passionate fanbase (which is what i love about our club) but its not all doom n gloom in my eyes. There were positives there today n looks to take forward into the preston game on sat

On a side note, hemir should be starting on crewe on Tues for the lack of workrate he put in today

Moved it too slow in the final 3rd for most of the game. Hopefully that slickness comes with more game time. I think if Jobe scores we win easily.

Hopefully the recruitment team pull some rabbits out of the hat to give us extra options soon. I thought not bringing Bennette on was a mistake/cry for help from Mowbray. We needed someone to run inbehind to create space for Pritch etc.

Disappointed but we will dominant teams this season especially with Neil, Ekwah and Jobe as a triangle with there presence. Just need someone to change it up and another to put it in the net.

Hope Ballard is OK, he went down in a heap before Neil hit the post. Proper centre half that lad. Will be a key player if he stays fit

Would you risk Hemir on Tuesday with him being our only for striker? It’s a tough one to call.

Yeah he needs to get up to speed with the english game

He was ineffective today so we need him getting up to speed quickly

Id give him another 55/60 mins on Tuesday

You do have a point with the words in bold but I don't think we were that good going forward. I was in the North stand corner first half and there was a few times he went to make a run and had to check back because instead of putting the ball in front of him to run onto we made a sideways pass. Hopefully it's just getting used to each other's games and getting used to playing together

Yeah as were too slow in the final 3rd for me, clarke n roberts just taking too many touches. Thought Ba n pritchard helped as they moved it quicker

Just wanted to see hemir get across defenders more n use his physicality a little bit. He is very raw n you can see that, think there was 1 really nice run in behind but neil played a poor pass

He's not as broad as I thought, he came into the pitch well before anyone else and my grandson got his picture taken with him. I think he could do with a bit of bulking up, just to help with his upper body strength

Can somebody explain to me after numerous 40k crowds and endless tv revenue from Sky, we cant just throw some serious money and sign at least 1 or 2 top drawer players to take us to the Prem and give us a massive payday from doing so?? Im confused, i thought our owner was meant to be a billionaire, but as it stands our fans player and players player of the year Danny Batth looks like hes leaving, Stewart whos has proven to be prolific for us us also looks like hes off due to wages, and weve not still only got one striker since Simms left in Jan?

Is this really a positive way to run a club???

He looks like hes lost a bit of weight since joining, now to add that muscle as he could be a unit

The short answer is yes it is the positive way to run a club. Can you remember how we used to be ran throwing money at players?

We also do spend money, we had the 2nd highest net spend in the league last yr (behind a team who just got relegated from the PL) . Weve already spent a bit this summer by the sound of it.

If you spend big transfer fees you then pay bigger wages, if you pay 1 player big wages then the rest of the team will start to ask for the same - it then becomes unstainable

So yes the way we are running things is the right way

Thought there were positive patterns first half carried over from last season and very unlucky to be behind at half time. Cut open too easily as we were a few times in home games last year, think a good holding mid will make a difference there. Obviously another striker is a must, painful having to see Clarke/attacking mids play up top, won’t be sustainable and Hemir is going to need time to be trusted to be our main man there looking at today, his touch and work rate were short for me. Thought Clarke was poor today after being given a number of good positions especially in the first half. Bellingham looked very promising, not sure if he’s going to be effective enough as a no.10 for the team in terms of creating chances, but time will tell. Still positive though, a lot of quality in the side and early days for new lads, still a couple of weeks to tie up loose ends in the squad (CDM, AM/Winger & ST imo), confident we will

Agree with every word of that

Im still confused mate, maybes its the alcohol. So if Arsenal sign Rice for 105m, is that a negative to all the smaller fees theyve paid for players that currently play alongside him and his huge wages.
You pay peanuts and you get Monkeys, were a couple of signings away from making millions in revenue and being back in the big time, so why are we looking at 3rd and 4th options?

Thing is though mate, we're putting the building blocks in place to be able to not play £105m for 1 player but to pay say at least £10m-£20m for a player. It's going to be slow going at times and it's not going to happen overnight, we just have to trust the recruitment team and be patient

As for looking at 3rd and 4th options - do we know for certain that we've gone that far down the list? If we have, it could be that the club wanted too much, the player could've wanted too much or didn't have the personality that we were looking for. We've built up a good team spirit now where they fight for each other, we don't need someone coming in to upset that - no matter how much they cost

Other than Pritchard, I thought the substitutions were poor at best, and bizarre at worst.
Ballard and Cirkin looked fine at FT so no concerns hopefully
