We didn't seem to put up a fight to get him so I expect we have other options.

Not convinced that he’s got the bollocks to be fair mate and I’m not convinced that the recruitment team or Mowbray are sold either.
I think we will be able to do better than Simms and maybe we have already signed an upgrade this summer in Semedo.
Still need another one (potentially two if we lost Stewart)

I think we'll sign an out and out striker plus another who can play in a few positions in the forward areas

Coventry City will pay £3.5m upfront, rising to £5m in bonuses depending on appearances and goals, and then the total fee will reach up to £8m if they get promoted. (@live_coventry)

And a hefty sell on % for Everton as well I'd imagine.

Good business for me that. He's not perfect but plenty of potential and scored a decent ratio of goals in an injury hit spell. We can do better but we could also do a lot worse too.

Everton side reporting it was 3.5m upfront aswell. Would've took him for that tbf.
I saw a tweet from Coventry saying it was £3.5m up front, rising to £5m with bonuses for goals / appearances and going up to £8m if they get promotion.
Not a bad deal that. £8m to get promoted is a bargain

ooops - just seen Maccasafc had already quoted this!

There'll be hundreds of strikers out there I don't know about but I wonder if we'll go for Maja. Or I'm sure the club will find someone else better than Simms or at least with more potential.

Strange how most of us were clamouring to get Simms back. But now he has gone elsewhere we are wanting someone better.

Think if we wanted him he would’ve chose us than them, seems like they didn’t want him and are looking at something else. Got complete faith in this team now, something we’ve not had in a long while

Its a funny one, yes get the 3.5m being ok, its the 5m on promotion, yes will have gone up &;have the extra money.....BUT will have paid 8m for a striker im not sure will be capable of PL level
