Really doubt Luton would be willing to pay the fee we'd want, even with their PL money. Think its much more likely he goes for free next summer.

If they were willing to pay the fee and the right salary for him I could definitely see it myself. Might not get another chance at PL.

These teams like Luton and Burnley after our players. **** would you want to go there for. We'll be swapping places with them at the end of the season.
Hope we find another gem or two up front, cannot see Stewart staying now and think Semedo unlikely to be ready to make impact straight away.

I don't think they'd pay more than £5m for him now. And I think we'd take the risk of keeping him if that's all they'd offer. It wouldn't just be a gamble on promotion, we'd also be gambling on getting him to change his mind and sign on

Yeh, this. It's easy to say "we will be swapping places next season"... but there's no guarantee of that. In fact if you look objectively its probably more likely Luton or Burnley will be in the premier league next year than we will be.
Not saying all our players should drop everything for PL football. Its about finding the right time for them to make the move. I don't think the time is right for Clarke or Ballard. But Stewart could very reasonably (I think) decide he wants to test himself in the PL.
Most notably probably the only 2 assists he got all season..

I wouldn't be that confident on that. Way too many variables. He might be closer to signing that new deal but waiting for the club to offer it again once he's fit.
