Maradona is still the best footballer I have ever had the pleasure to watch ... Best and Cryuff both right up there ... Messi is very good and Ronaldo is an exceptional athlete ... just my view, of course.

Zidane for me, but its all about personal opinion. Never got to see Best or Cryuff other than on TV

Did you know that Johan Cryuff was at one point considering signing for us? ... again true ... how seriously he was mind I don't know ..

He applied to be player manager at Everton but was turned down....true story

He played for the Los Angeles Aztecs and the Washington Diplomats. They don't even sound like real teams! <laugh>
Americans always have to give their sports teams ****ed up names involving animals or inanimate objects.

Like the LA Lakers, what the **** is a Laker?

Remember when the Hull owner wanted to change the name of the club to the Hull City Tigers and the football league told him to **** off? <laugh>

I don't mind the Americans naming their sports teams stupid things. It's distinctive.
Other clubs following that trend is ****ing stupid, though.
US sides trying to be European is even more stupid. Real Salt Lake? Inter Miami? **** off. <doh>

I've just looked up the Lakers thing, as it does sound ****ing stupid, doesn't it?
It comes from Minnesota's nickname, the land of a thousand lakes.
What's that got to do with LA? They moved there, in typical franchise fashion. Like Arsenal.

The worst thing about that whole shambles is that if they'd started from scratch, then people would admire them.
Wimbledon had to do it and they're already back to the same level.
If they were just Milton Keynes FC and had come from nothing, then they'd be far better off.
