I personally don't care if Bruce stays or goes... He'll only be replaced with Ian dowie or Mark Hughes
I didn't see it fella.....last thing I need tgese days is an hour and a half of watching cheating overpaid egos running around the pitch
Tbh they did spent 25 million on willock, so while they didn't improve the squad on last season it's not like we actually owned the player. Over 15 years Ashley has been as tight as a nuns knickers but Bruce in 2 years has had 125 million with not 1st team player sales. I think Ian dowie might be persuaded if they pay over the odds... Oh wait.
Cruyffs stats were a bit better, Maradona only really kicked ass in **** leagues, for Boca Juniors or some ****, his strike rate in Italy was so-so, though he wasn't an out and out forward, more like a number 10
Behave. He won Napoli the title practically single handed. Three times. And in the days when Italian defenders kicked lumps out of forwards with impunity. He won Argentina a World Cup, more than Messi ever managed. He wasn't a striker, correct. More of an attacking playmaker.
I wouldnt know about that, before my time. I was like 18 months old when he moved to Italy His goal rate for Napoli was 81 goals in 188 games, which is decent, but not amazing. Not sure how many assists he got though, as a forward playmaker i'd have thought he would assist just as many as he scored, but I cant find any assist stats
tbf 1 in 2 was decent back then. It's only in the later years (i.e. last 20 years) that we're seeing the ridiculous numbers. Really began with Messi and Ronaldo
Maradona is still the best footballer I have ever had the pleasure to watch ... Best and Cryuff both right up there ... Messi is very good and Ronaldo is an exceptional athlete ... just my view, of course.
