Once they have signed, Maddison, Tielemans and Ndidi they will be some ****ing team and could well trouble the CL places
He's holding out for West Ham, he knows we ain't going to buy him for more than 20, and he wants European football.
yeah, a lot of our fans are freaking out because we've signed some U23's and loaned a GK, but not bought anyone for the senior team. I keep telling them this is how he does business, he isn't going to pay the opening window price when he knows the closing window price could be as much as 50% less. Do they listen? Of course not, they wet their knickers instead.
He used to called ‘dithering Davie’ by some of our lot, as he took his time, but his record spoke for itself, it was very rare that he signed a dud.
His net spend across 11 years at Goodison was £11m. He got us into Europe and established in the top 6 on a budget of £1m a season net.
That was for you. He was always suited to Everton and the way you worked. He was a massive failure when it come to signing players for Sunderland. Definitely not one of the best about in my opinion. I also doubt the Man Utd fans think much of his transfers or regard him as one of the best about getting value for money.
They were never having him, and he didn’t get a full season did he? Should never have taken that poison chalice, dumb choice on his part.
You could hardly say Fellaini was value for money... It was a step too far for him and I think Man Utd sold him a few years later for 5 million or something. Mata never set the world alight neither, although you couldn't say he hasn't been value for money after all this time. At Sunderland he spent over 20 million on Djolibodji and N'Dong. Dreadful signings. One now plays for some ****e team in Turkey and another in the 2nd division in France. Both were terrible from the word go. Same with Gibson and Oviedo he brought from Everton, both were past it at that point and a complete waste of money.
Fellaini did 6 seasons there and played over 170 games lol. Your club was a basket case when he arrived and he didn’t improve it, probably his worst effort anywhere tbh.
Goons are signing a keeper who's been relegated twice in the last two seasons with two different teams... And they're paying over £25m for him.
Wrong. it was the best squad we'd had for a long time. He came in after Allardyce had left to take the England job and the squad was flying. Moyes came in and immnediately told everybody to expect a relegation fight. Just because Fellaini played 170 games that doesn't make him value for money? He was ****e and never improved a ****e team at the time. It was a bad signing.
That's where they're at now. A mid-table side with no european football or any chance of qualifying for european football any time soon.
