Interesting comments from the Gaffer.

Lack of on field leadership and ability to think for themselves being questioned.
Its getting the balance right.
Besides a captain, you need a couple other vocal players on the pitch. Occasionally a youngser will step up, but usually an older head.
Being experienced is one thing, using that experience to support, encourage, berate others is something else.
We need players front to back who will be vocal in a positive way.
Its where someone like Morrison is missed.
Good to hear Morison is looking at the bigger picture and understands the group dynamics.
Its often the difference between a draw and a narrow win, or a draw and a narrow defeat.
Leaders all over the park. Someone bossing the defensive line, driving the midfield, demanding effort in attack, organising set pieces in attack and defense.
Will narrow down options to recruit, but hopefully means we make the right signings.

Must say that I think Morison's attitude and performance should help get some good young talent in. He's shown he will use young guys and give them a template upon which to flourish. Hopefully, the young loanees going back will give positive feedback of their time with us and how they have been dealt with.

Young loanees are still a dilemma for me.
Likely to be better than our youngsters, blocking their pathway but without the exoerience / knowledge / leadership Morison is looking for.
Not quite sure how you square that circle.

Just re reading Glen’s note above about 10-15 players potentially coming in. Does that mean 10-15 going out :emoticon-0138-think

As exciting as it may be to start afresh, I do have some concerns about there just being too many new faces all at the same time for it to knit together quickly enough.

But hey ho, if it's what has to happen then so be it...

Will be glued to Sky Sports transfer thread daily!!

Not surprised if the latter is the case. However I doubt he will find another Championship club wanting to pay the £28k per week he is apparently on.
A decent enough player but becoming more injury prone.
If he'd had a blistering end to the season he might have found a willing taker, but given his injuries, form and the fact many teams will be tightening their belts I think he'll struggle. There will be better players available for that price.
He might be lucky to get £20k. We might have been offering less than that.
I think Wintle now offers more than Ralls.
