Just goes to show a 134,000 followers doesn't make it genuine!, you can actually pay people and they will create thousands of fake followers for you.

And other people will sell you twitter accounts with a huge number of followers. It makes me wonder how many accounts on twitter are real people, and how many are involved in these kind of stupid popularity contests.

a quick read of galatasaray fans on twitter seems to conflict with the opinions of a mr manky mawkin (or whatever his name is) from the other day.

so far i'm yet to find one who has a bad word to say about him.

From what I know about his style of play I think it would be very hard to not like elmander. He's swashbuckling, hard working, physical and very tenacious indeed.

Does this extra depth make you feel we may be treating the cups a lot more seriously this year?

If we won a cup I suspect the Hughton out brigade would drill a hole so deep they'd come out the other side of the planet.

i think we will treat the cups exactly like last season. the difference is, we have more quality in depth so we may do a little better but then look at our competitors! ultimately, the squad restructuring had to happen. when you look at what the likes of saints, west brom, sunderland, swansea, west ham etc have done, had we not brought in the calibre of players we have done i think we'd be in serious trouble. all the mid table clubs (with one or two exceptions) have strengthened substantially, some even better than we have in my opinion.

I love a trawl through the Facebook comments on the clubs account thy NEVER disappoint!

Here's one and I swear to god I haven't edited it:

Im not saying that hooper already injured what if wolfwinkel get injured than we have to play elmander get my meaning all im saying is we could have bought better

What a mess...

<ok> This!

In cups I'm sure we'll play a side that on paper looks good enough to challenge for a win, but it'll no doubt be a "rotation" side. We've just got much more quality to rotate-in this season. For example, our third choice striker this season is roughly on a par with our best last season. I agree the strengthening was needed: Southampton and Swansea for starters appear to have made significant improvements, West Ham are no pushovers, and Sunderland could be world-beaters or dreadful. Without the investment I'd be very concerned going into this season.

Newsflash: "Injuries cause team to play weaker players" <doh> What does he expect? It's better than last seasons "OMG if HoLt get's injud, 'un Morison ent fit, den we'd 'av to play Chrissy Martin - and 'e won't be sober enuff".
