I hope I haven't enraged you too much, Carrahbuh. I'm new here, still learning the ins and outs.
Just tell him you love long ball football and everything will be rosy!
On the topic of Bennett, I think he's useful as a squad option, and agree that a run in the team would help him. Having said that, when he's got Snoddy ahead of him, he's not going to get that run unless we have an injury, so we're likely to get the same kind of performances whenever he's called upon. I'd like to see us experiment with him at RB in an early round of a cup too. Snodgrass cutting in and having Bennett on the overlap could be promising. I was trying to work out a formation where we could actually achieve that before, and was struggling, I ended up with something like:
---------Ruddy------------
------Martin---Bassong--Garrido
Bennett-----Johnson----------
Snodgrass--Howson--Surman---Pilks
------------RvW------------------
Figuring Surman could create from a deeper position, and help cover the left side (along with Johnson) with Pilks acting more as a second striker at times. But it definitely needs some more work! I could actually see Toivonen being a better fit for that mess of a formation than Surman really.
For now though I'm happy to keep Bennett. He's cover for Snodgrass, cheap enough, and doesn't seem the type to disrupt the dressing room. When looking to improve the squad, the RW position is pretty far down the list for me, I think the only positions I'd be even less worried about are RB and GK.
