In the article that comes from, the writer quotes Redknapp, ends the quote with 99 speech marks, then the writer, in the next paragraph, says "you shouldn't play poker with David McNally". Redknapp never said it, just someone incapable of seeing or interpreting speech marks thought he did and told the whole of twitter. Sorry if that seems like a bit of a rant, but this has been really annoying me...

You're right to be annoyed. It is happening all the time -- including, I'm sorry to say, on here. Posters often say "X said Y", but when I listen to what X actually said, it is quite different. When the X is Chris Hughton and the Y is discreditable, I get especially annoyed!
its the problem with twitter, no fact checkers and no real accountability for tweeting lies. Combine that with the slop of football reporting and its a miracle anything truthful gets printed at all.

I presume you looked at the DeVere website, the photos are out of date. I worked there last year (and saw many of the new signings dossing in the bar) and all of the rooms have flat screen TVs, fear not...
