lets see:
20 mil + for Lavezzi
20 for Ibra
42 for Thiago Silva
45 mil last year for pastore
I think 15 mil for menez
10 mil I think for Lugano
5 was it, thereabouts for Alex.

After that I think it was the team they pretty much had.

I think they might be after M'vila and Matuidi ( he might ahve gone to marseille or Lyon actually).

and we have spent a grand total of!........... sweet fook all! <laugh>

But I'm glad we haven't got an owner that is blowing £200mil in a season on players who are coming and earning ridiculous money. All it takes is an owner to get bored and the club is in trouble. I'd much rather we try and slowly build with youth and players coming through the academy - although obviously would like us to make a few signing.

It's like playing FM when you start as some league 2 team and after 10 seasons have worked your way to the Premiership. It's so much more fulfilling than playing as City and buying all the best players and winning the league in 1 season with no where to go thereafter.

Ogbonna is 24 or 25, not really a 'kid' any more but...<ok>

meh, close enough, probably better to say hidden talent.

By the way, I gotta roll but will leave all with this, some ( many ) are up in arms about Carroll being put out there etc.

But what if selling Carroll is the way Rodgers is trying to fund for that marquee forward, aka Cavani??

Again, very hypotheitcal and no-one knows but if Suarez gave me a realistic statement that if we went for Cavani he could convince him to join, then sorry Andy.

Very doubtful it is this but one can hope and dream right?

Yep, completely agree with that but the problem is that ten years is such a long time in football and people, especially owners, get itchy feet <ok>

Ya ya, I agree man, just you look at the purchases and can't help but think what the ****!! Jeolousy and all that but we almost went bust without spending like these clubs, I hope these owners don't just pull out as you could see some top top sides just plummit and go bust.

If Carroll has to leave for Cavani to come in then where are my car keys? I'll drive Andy round the potential clubs personally...<ok>

However, as I suspect you know with you 'hypothetical', it is very unlikely and I think we'll be sharing a stadium with the bitters before Cavani joins us <ok>

The only player I'd have liked to have seen us go for at those prices is Lavezzi...<ok>

We should try and make a bid for Gameiro IMO.

Agreed or

On whether Giampaolo Pazzini will stay after his recent tantrum, he said: "You have to rate Pazzini because he's a proper centre forward and when he's in form he scores all the time. This we already know. He has a strong-willed character. I'll repeat what I've already said before: it may so happen that there are necessities from a coaching standpoint that influence whether players are to be bought or sold. It's nothing dramatic, but I'm genuinely sorry about it."

Scores goals, 27, Italian international, would link with Borini and Aqua.

I believe PSG have agreed a £50m deal for both Milan's Ibrahimavic and Thiago Silva. There were suggestions that if Milan sold these players then they might enquire about Andy Carroll.

Sky Sports have now reported that Milan are expected to make a bid for Tevez and if unsuccessful, they will turn their attention to Dzeko.

Andy Carroll survives ...

FOOTBALL

Liverpool have agreed a fee with Roma for striker Fabio Borini and the player has arrived on Merseyside to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms, according to the Press Association.

A fantastic and affordable signing if he is our BACKUP striker, we need more quality for number one, essentially this guy has to fill Torres' boots which I don't see happening

I disagree. We have moved on from Torres for starters. But also, Torres was our sole front man, he played up on his own and he only had N'Gog to back him up (this lead to his down fall). Torres had to score all the goals.

Now we have Suarez, and possible Dempsey coming in. This will spread the scoring more evenly. If Carroll stays it'll be spread out even more. Hopefully this should result in more goals over all.

In the new system, the left and right forwards will be expected to score as much as the center forward.

My issue isn't so much with the quality of Borini it's just that as an Italian I don't think he will be scoring 15 goals + for us in his first season and we need a striker to be doing that, or at least 20 tbh. Suarez isn't an out and out goal scorer and Dempsey can't be expected to score the same as last season when he was at the very top of his game to be frank
