The player is currently training with the Uruguayan Olympic squad, along with current Liverpool stars Luis Suarez and Sebastian Coates, who could be instrumental in the players decision.

In a surprising turn of events, it is thought that Italian Alberto Aquilani could be heading the opposite way.

The midfielder, who has been on loan at AC Milan, has not shown up on the current Liverpool squad list, and did not appear in any of the photographs of Liverpool’s pre-season training yesterday.

Hmm,Ramirez to Anfield with Aqua heading in the opposite direction!

I wonder if Bologna would consider a straight swap <whistle>

I think Jovetic would be a class signing, which could see Aqua go in the opposite direction?
 
Just a thought, we still need to have a minimum of eight home grown players within our twenty-five man squad. Looking at the squad, I work it that we currently nine - Johnson, Carragher, Gerrard, Henderson, Spearing, Downing, Cole, Bellamy and Carroll. Under 21's don't have to be registered, Henderson is now 22 and so does need to be <ok>

So, to the people saying they'd like to see Spearing, Downing and Cole leave, who would you like to see come in that qualifies as home grown if all three left?

I'm assuming that people would keep Carragher in the registered squad despite his recent obvious downturn in form / quality.
