I would feel a bit for The Swans on this one but...oh well <laugh> of all the players I wanted BR to bring...Siggy's the man <ok> only 22 and already of a very good standard...will change my nickname if we sign him...<whistle>

What do we think of Fabio Borini?

Interestingly, he's part owned by both Roma and Parma.

FSG own 40% of Roma. Just a thought.

Isn't that against footballing rules...? Thought ownership or part ownership was only allowed on one club...?

We still owe Roma money for Aquilani though <ok>

I think it's more complex than FSG directly owning shares, it's some form of subsidiary.

I suppose we're paying Roma for another two years, but it'd be the minimum fee seeing that Aqua's fee was based on appearances.

Fair enough <ok>

Does this Borini link not concern anyone else...? If he is only 20 and full of promise, why did Chelsea dump him...? Roma/Parma are the Italian equivalent of a Sunderland or Fulham too.

Roma = Sunderland? No chance. They have been in the CL or thereabouts since at least 2000.

Yeah, as soon as I posted it I thought that's an inbalance comparison. Actually quite a similar level to us I guess <ok>

No worries, I thought you were being brave! <laugh>

I think with the rise of napoli and Udinese it has taken Roma a bit to try and get back to where they once were ( similar to use dealing with the rise of City and Tottenham).

Maybe we should help Roma out by buying Cavani, Lavezzi and Hamsik...<whistle>
