If it's true then this is probably a deal left over from Comolli. We were in for him in January, so it's possible we were told to wait until the summer.

Ian Ayre must be having the time of his life at the minute! He's everywhere!
 
I started a thread for media transfers but it was just stupid, in 2 weeks the list had about 30 players on it so I stopped posting it.

If i were lfc 3 players would be on my list of "kidnap their kids to make them sign" list.

Cavani, higuin and hazard.

Trust me when i say there isn't a great deal of huge talent out there that is so obvious that its no risk. erikkson and martinez would be the next shouts in midfield then.

Its a pity we pissed about under rafa due to g&H and failed to land silva or mata or even aguero cos it was so patently obvious what they'd become. we must not piss about again

Can't argue with the three players quality, they'd certainly make a difference. However, as I am sure you are aware, not one of them will join us without the offer of Champions League football. Plus, their combined cost would be massive. Lets call their transfer fee a modest £30m each and their wages a modest £150kpw each for 4 years. Thats a combined minimum committment of £183.6m..!!!!! For a non-Champions League club, that's unimaginable!
 
suarol... mr suarez joined us just on such terms. we bought carroll of 35mil.

For me if we are in any way serious we must spend that money. it took city 3 years and 3 managers to get to where they are now. We one a trophy quicker and spent less but now we need to commit that money to get there. I'd pay 30mil tomorrow for hazard if you could get him quick but i know that deal is done. I'd break the bank for the others.... if fsg have any real ambition this is what they must do cos all the junior hoilett's in the world will not get cl football.
 
Heard we were linked with Lavezzi this morning, doubt he would want to miss out playing in the champions league though
