Brendan Rodgers has said this morning there will be news within the next 48 hours. However according to turkish tv Nuri Sahin will be a Liverpool player today. The Tello deal is dead, he doesn't want to leave Barcelona, the Clint Dempsey deal is very much on.
Oh and apparently Sahin will be announced this evening. What happens with loan deals? Are we fishing him out one of the Liverpool vs Madrid scarves to wave?
I'm still not convinced that Dempsey is the right player for us at this time but if it involves Adam going to opposite way then you won't hear me complaining

The fact that he's been improving his goal tally every season since getting to the premier league is proof of that? How?
I think that was just rumours mate, I haven't seen anything solid on it to say that he has or hasn't signed a new contract.

Just been looking through youtube videos of Assaidi and common theme seems to be that he likes to run and dribble with the ball. Right footed, plays on the left as is usual these days. Would suggest he's a very similar type of player to Adam Johnson although he is obviously a left footed player on the right. Cheap price tag so expectations are probably quite low which will help. Can't wait to hear what Rodgers has to say about him. Guess that would end the interest in Tello, now just need Sahin to come in, Adam to go out and we're pretty sorted.
