Brendan Rodgers has said this morning there will be news within the next 48 hours. However according to turkish tv Nuri Sahin will be a Liverpool player today. The Tello deal is dead, he doesn't want to leave Barcelona, the Clint Dempsey deal is very much on.
Oh and apparently Sahin will be announced this evening.
What happens with loan deals?

I'm still not convinced that Dempsey is the right player for us at this time but if it involves Adam going to opposite way then you won't hear me complaining

The fact that he's been improving his goal tally every season since getting to the premier league is proof of that? How?

I think that was just rumours mate, I haven't seen anything solid on it to say that he has or hasn't signed a new contract.

The 24-year-old, who has scored 20 goals in 68 appearances for Heerenveen in the Dutch Eredivisie, will now undergo a medical at Melwood.
Assaidi has represented his native Morocco 22 times since making his international debut in February 2011.
One of the highlights of his young career came in a 6-2 win over FC Twente in 2010 when he scored a hat-trick and assisted the other three goals.

The most I knew about him was the club he played for... will swot up on him tomorrow, getting a chinese in then getting hammered

Plus £200k per week wages over four years, that makes it a £65.6m package
To be on the safe side, £150k per week over three years would be £47.4m which is still rather on the expensive side of budgets
Plus a signing on fee, appearence money, goal bonus etc...

Just been looking through youtube videos of Assaidi and common theme seems to be that he likes to run and dribble with the ball. Right footed, plays on the left as is usual these days. Would suggest he's a very similar type of player to Adam Johnson although he is obviously a left footed player on the right.
Cheap price tag so expectations are probably quite low which will help. Can't wait to hear what Rodgers has to say about him.
Guess that would end the interest in Tello, now just need Sahin to come in, Adam to go out and we're pretty sorted.
