In my second year, Agger was I think 85 or something like that, PSG came in 27, nope, 33, nope, 42, nope 51 million!!! Fuuuuccckkkkkk. I ended up selling him and getting Dejan Lovren and Dede from Botafogo. Dede was class Lovren was OK for me, but not as commanding. No one ever comes in for Skrtel in my game but they hound Lucas in that first year.

£51million!? His currently 84 overall in my career mode, I'm only getting offers upto £18million! I agree about Lucas, Newcastle don't give up on him at all. Interesting was that in my career mode Kagawa was still at Borrusia, United went and signed him! They spent £22.5million (more than in real life). Kolo Toure went back to Arsenal, Cavani and Lavezzi went to Chelsea.
Not seen much of Sahin but heard plenty of good things. In theory we could play near enough 70 games this year depending how far we go in Europe and the two domestic cups so having Lucas/Allen/Gerrard/Sahin/Henderson & Shelvey would give us brilliant squad depth in midfield and everyone will get plenty of games. It would also allow us to use Gerrard in the same way Ferguson has used Scholes/Giggs and instead of using him in every game, use him in the important ones and give him more of a rest. This is exactly what we need if we are going to take all 4 competition seriously. I'd hope if we did get Sahin, we could put some sort of future fee in place in case he was a massive success otherwise he goes back, adds another £10mil to his value and we miss out on him. Again, not seen much of Tello but seems like he's pacey and direct and coming through the Barca ranks would have no problem fitting in with the type of football Rodgers wants to play.

Sahin is expensive but that is because he grows to like 89 or something. Need pace up top? Pierre Emerick Abumeyang from St. Etienne. Width could go with Johnson, Walcott, or possibly Armero ( udinese, recently moved to Juve), Krasic, Elia. Midfielders Lass diarra, Willian ( brazilian side flamengo I believe). Defenders DOugals ( FC twente) , Dede ( botafogo), Lovren (Lyon) Those I think are pretty realistic type targets to look at with a big-ish budget.
I'll try and bring in Sahin for next season depending on if I get CL or not. Even if I get £5million each for Aquilani, Adam, Cole and Bellamy, which is the bare minimum considering its FIFA, it'll add £20million to fund the Sahin deal.
Thiago from Barca you can get on loan and then pay I think it is 29 mil ( dollars) for him at the end of the season and he is top buy as well.
Don't know if this has already been mentioned but apparently Spurs bid for G.Ramirez had been accepted at £12.6mil but the deal fell through because Spurs offered to low a wage. Now, I must admit I've not seen an awful lot of him but he sounds like a talent and at £13mil that would be a bargain surely. Obviously it depends what his wage demands are, but surely he can't be on an awful lot at Bologna? This is all coming from his agent though so could all be total bollocks..
I heard that their bid was rejected as insulting. If this is true, then 13m could be worth it.... however just the latest "news" from Twitter says that Dempsey to Liverpool relies on Adam's willingness to join Fulham. A fee has apparently been agreed now its just up to him. If we get Dempsey its safe to say another midfielder wont be coming in unless its Sahin on loan. Sahin and Tello rumours have become very publicised over the past few hours with a bunch of journos reporting we're almost done the deals. Marca report that Mourinho doesn't want Sahin to go to Arsenal and is pushing him to go to Liverpool, to be under Rodgers. Given that Marca is basically published by Real and is considered "their" sports news agency, there could be some traction in this. However these are all quoteless speculative pieces that we all know could be entirely bollocks.
Thing with Dempsey is where exactly would he play? He's not a wide player, he's not a central striker. I thought he played off the main striker last year at Fulham where he was most dangerous. I guess as a plan b with Carroll upfront he could play alongside but I'd rather we brought someone who would improve the first team now and in the future than someone that, althuogh would improve the overall squad, would he be a massive improvement on our first 11 and how many years would we get from him before he started to decline?
He shouldn't play is my opinion, he won't improve the squad so why bother? Give them Adam for a minimal price, 5m or so, use that to get Tello on a permanent or Ramirez who would then be an improvement to what we have.
A lot of rumors about Sahin. A lot of scum fans were hopeful on him I thought, would be nice to sneak that in.
Some talk he has finished talks with Real Madrid and is on his way to speak to representatives of Liverpool. Would love to see this guy in the prem next season, would do a great job for us or Arsenal.
