So, it's been 13 days since the transfer window opened and all in all, I think we've not done too bad thus far.

We've seen five players leave Anfield and one player join.

Outgoings:

David Amoo wasn't going to break into the first team so letting him leave for Preston seems the right decision. Will get that all important game time at Preston!

-

Fabio Aurelio leaving was probably for the best. So many injuries to contend with in his time here and going back to Gremio in his homeland is a good way of finishing off his footballing career.

Though there are reports that he has already been ruled out of next season due to injury!

-

Stephen Darby wouldn't have got ahead of Johnson, Kelly or Flanagan for the right-back slot and joining Bradford should be a good career move. Big club in that division and will probably push for promotion in the coming season.

-

Dirk Kuyt was a great servent for our club and was well liked by just about everyone at Liverpool! Came up with the goals in the big games when needed and seemed to play less last season and i'm not sure if he would have got the game time he would have wanted in the coming season.

Slighly annoyed at the rumoured £1M fee as I felt we could have got around £4M-5M for him. Weird clause to have in his contract in my opinion...

-

Maxi Rodriguez is the only one i'm in two minds about. Scored goals when given an extended run in the side and the recent interview with Rodgers about Maxi seemed to suggest that he wanted him to stay. I do think that a deal was agreed just after the season ended and we knew that after the Chelsea game. Will do well back in his homeland.

Incomings:

Just the one with Fabio Borini confirmed tonight. Has already worked with Rodgers and did well in Italy for Roma last season. Nearly a 1 in 2 strike rate.

Can play across a forward line and the rumoured £8M fee sounds like good.

-

All in all, been a decent enough first 13 days in the transfer window.

Indeed it would. I think I read somewhere on here that Barcelona were willing to let him go for €6.5m - which, if true, we should definitely make a bid <ok>

6. A fee of €6.5m works out around the £5m mark, I can't say I'd be disappointed <ok>

You'd be weird if you were disappointed with that price!

I definitely think we'll see a surprise signing late on, bit like the Bellamy one.

The problem with Afellay is that if he's being offered to particular clubs, they might get in long before anyone else, they might in fact be the only ones interested or there might be a simple reason why they're the clubs he's asked his agent to inquire to - he wants to go to one of them.

I'd love him at Anfield though.

The three signings I'd love (realistically) are Afellay, Allen and Ramirez... That's probably asking too much though.

-------------------Reina-------------------
-Johnson----Skrtel-------Ager------Enrique-
-------------------Lucas-------------------
----------Gerrard----------Aquilani----------
-------Suarez-------------------Borini--------
-------------------Carroll---------------------

That works fine for me

Carroll is in great form. He should be a starter.

Looks good to me, although Suarez on the left and Borini on the right.

Looking at that team there is no reason we shouln't be at least challenging for top 4. Think we just need decent cover for Lucas and maybe a versatile defender who can cover CB/LB. If Bellamy goes I'd like another forward but if he stays then we have 4 forwards along with Downing who I think will be a lot better this season.

Either works for me.

14. It is only starting positions, I'd expect the forwards to be fluid and interchange under Rodgers...<ok>

I think Cover for Lucas is vital; though saying this (when Lucas is out) it wouldn't surprise me for Gerrard to be pushed back and Henderson to play next to Aquilani. This is providing they use the system mentioned above (Which is the one I am backing more or less).

I personally am not sure this will work superbly with Gerrard in the defensive role; but it is a much better option than playing Jay Spearing as any backup <steam>.

Disgusting to think of the money we threw about last year, even if it came from the buying of the club on the cheap.

Imagine how it might have been spent this summer by BR.

Come on! He's bought one player who hasn't even kicked a ball for us. The jury is most certainly still out.

As for the money spent last year then let's see just how our imports perform this season.

I think last years signings will be performing a lot, lot better this season.

Carroll's already stepped up and although never a world beater everyone knows Downing is good for at least 7 goals and 7 assists in a side that has it's finishing boots on.

Henderson fits Buck's style perfectly. He's a possession and one touch passing robot. Hopefully he adds the goals to the mix but I'm still not certain he's ready yet for that.

Come on... If anyone but Kenny had signed Downing for around 20M, Carroll for 35M, Henderson for £16M we'd be tearing them apart.

Downing was a waste.

Carroll ridiculously over-priced despite the context.

Henderson I think will be worth it one day.

We had lots of money, a golden ticket to reinvigorate our chances, and we blew it in spectacular style.
