So,if we assume Guiu has gone back to the complete mess at Chelsea....and we have Brobbey and Gertrude in our sights...although not done yet......Fantastic window for us!!
It’s good these 2 lads know each other should be a big help for them to hit the ground running

You know though mate, Altidore was a disaster as a striker but he certainly wasn’t a disaster as a player. He was nearly there.

He did some great stuff, it just didn’t involve what he was meant to do, scoring goals.

loved Altidore even tho he couldn’t score

I do think Howe's Newcastle has a weird tendency to obsess over players which leads to them going way over value for them. Its not every transfer but they do seem to identify 1 talent and then just stop which would be fine if they were Barcelona but there's plenty of weaknesses in that squad that could be shored up.

Aye to be clear not suggesting Diarra has been poor, the lad never stops.

Just hasn’t quite fallen in place for him yet but I’m putting that down to the team gel and balance.

I still maintain he will be the cream on the top once that’s all ironed out. Even not quite there you can see the level the lad has.

really fair comments, I didn’t think you were suggesting he had been poor just a fair assessment of the current position.

it’s fantastic to think he hasn’t quite hit his straps yet but is still contributing through his sheer workrate….huge potential

Wissa is a very good signing for them if you ignore the fee.

You can’t ignore that fee though, it’s preposterous.

£130 million plus addons for him and Woltemade tells me whoever’s running the show up there is ****ing moronic.

They have surely ****ed next years PSR now and they’ll blame City and the PL for that.

Shocking business (if potentially good players)

Woltemade has scored 24 goals in his career and he’s 24.

Some potent strikers there mind. We can take the piss about Isak, but some fire-power coming in.

ironically they have done what they needed to do which was improve their squad depth.

it’s come at a price and they have handled it terribly. It’s hard to replace the goals of Isaak and whatever they say he was their talisman but if you compare the squads from last season and this they look on paper to have improved it.
