Is the gunman anywhere near you Disco? If so stay safe and take care

About an hour and a half away so close on an Australian scale but realistically not that near.

The area he's in is very similar to where I am. Hills, forests, outdoor pursuits and snowfields. Beautiful part of the world. Shame to see it get such rotten press.

Wouldn’t blame them if they didn’t come back at all tbh, I never get involved in this side of the board but I’m baffled as to what they have apparently done, there’s bickering on here all the time might aswell ban half the board if you can’t express different opinions, it’s done now and it is what it is but it’s poor

Well, this is nowt to do with me but a few people keep saying they're baffled about how someone can be banned just for posting an opinion ...

... I really don't think that's ever the case tbh.

So I'll have a guess but please don't say I'm protected by the forum's boss, or whoever, he doesn't like me and removed my 'report button' years ago

When the Online Safety Act arrived in 2023 this forum, RTG, etc, all posted notices reminding people to take extra care with what they post.

The forum owners/admin are now legally bound bound to police the forums and the Mods have an extra responsibility.

Because of the threat of legal action, and the closure of the forum, I'd guess they're taking care if the receive any reports of threats of violence, stalking, personal details being posted, sexism/racism/homophobia etc. If people post offensive messages, such as calling other posters loonies, liars, c*nts, etc, they have to accept it may breach the guidelines. We know there are people on here who have a variety of mental health issues so that further complicates matters.

If the Mods are having to remove offensive posts and warn people not to persist I'd say that's fair enough. If they're also receiving offensive PMs and seeing people are being threatened physically, personal data being compromised and their children being mentioned I'd say that's exactly why the site admin, at the highest level are becoming involved.

Clicking 'Ignore' is the simplest thing you can do, on here, but some people absolutely must argue and must have the last word ...

... if they only want to hear from those people who agree with everything they say then a discussion forum may not be the best place for them.

Yeah I could definitely understand if that was the case, was a little baffling then when the moderator said he didn't care about name calling and wouldn't ban someone for it.

(Although that part doesn't relate to what prehabs reasons were for being banned).

Getting a little worried about no links for a winger, think we get the CB and use our loan for a forward

Name calling has different levels mate …

… Ive seen posters on here asking why their post was deleted for calling someone a puff or a spas.

I get called all sorts but, if someone oversteps the line, I’ll respond.

I wouldn’t want to be a Mod tbh, thankless task.

Of course it does, consistency is all I want to see when deciding who's banned and who isn't.
