But the window closes, there’s nowhere to go and they largely get over it

They do, they have to, as will Isak.

But if it is true that the gap between what is on offer here and what this lad is getting there is a very large one, then he will start "looking after " himself.

It's only human.

Why do we love left footed defenders so much? We’ve got plenty of them. Lucumi seems a bit special but surely we could get someone similar to Aguerd who is right footed.

I reckon we are going 5 at the back when away to the top teams and we’ll see Alderete or Ballard as the central centre back.

Still only 21. I think it’s a decent deal for Chelsea at the quoted prices

I’m never sure on him. Clearly a player there, but also looks like one of those that will never quite be the real deal.

Isn’t that price a lot less than they rejected in January? It looks more like it now.

Does he improve Chelsea?

They’re absolutely stacked, certainly don’t need him <laugh>

More trouble than he is worth IMO. Not as good as he thinks he is, though he had a bit of a reasonable grievance last season when he was left out of the Euefa final.

Using a cricketing analogy, this lad is like some medium paced bowlers, who run in at a furious pace and bowl completely un threatening deliveries. He's more fart than ****e in other words IMO, though Chelsea will probably keep him and then sell him in a year for double the price!

Price does seem high, very talented player but not sure we would spend that on him

Would’ve been a good loan option from Chelsea imo, nailed on to start every week on the right for us I’d imagine. No idea how Guiu will play out but felt Chelsea maybe had better options within their squad we could’ve loaned.
