Agree, also Xhaka was good against West Ham imo and his role is never going to look flashy or make him look better than the other two, who will be more advanced and when they do something well it'll be very noticeable. His role as a sitter is to keep it calm for us and do his job well. He's never going to look unbelievable really imo
Agree. He's been brought in to do a specific job in keeping the side tight and focussed. That'll take time, till he learns the players around him and they learn what they can expect from him. Can only do so much on the training ground....live matches provide the answer. He's an intelligent footballer...it won't take him long to get to grips with the younger players around him.

I still think the midfield 3 of Xhaka, Diarra and Sadiki is too industrious and needs more creativity. It's a very defensively setup midfield and swapping Sadiki for Le Fee would change that massively.

I like Sadiki and think his work rate and effort is first class but he's the one who has to make way and Le Fee also has that tenacious side as well.

Absolutely agree, especially at home. Be interesting to see if RLB does this on Saturday.

The window has been excellent, just need to make sure we get the final two vital positions nailed down, CB and a winger.

We should hear about the decision on Lucumi today you'd think as they had crunch talks yesterday according to reports
I like your optimism
Surely we cannot judge how good the window has been till the end of the season ?

Aye a few posters need to be less catastrophic and a few responses (mine included at times) need to be less defensive. If people take 20% off either side we’ll be all right.
It's the stuff that strays away from the point of the thread (transfer activity) that drags everything down. If posters want to have their squabbles let them start a specific thread for it ("Is this a £5 argument or a £10 one?")

<laugh> We could almost do with an" Argument" thread. So,if anyone's feeling particularly miserable and bolshy, they could get it out of their system and have a downright set to with someone who's fed up with them. Bit like a dysfunctional marriage!<laugh>

Just seen Dwight McNeil apparently wants to leave Everton. Would be a solid addition for us, shame he’s predominantly a left winger now. Has played a bit on the right and in the middle though, versatile.
He’s a good player but in my opinion we need pace and athleticism in the team, wand of a left foot but think we need a different profile of player
