This is from Haway the podcaster guest Kevin Hatcherd (it’s not a perfect quote)

“He’s physical put it that way, 40 yellow cards In the last few seasons. Not everyone will know about Getafe but they are the most brutal team in La ligua. They will kick you off the park and then kick you back off again if you have the temerity to come back on the field, so if you have to fit in the team like Alderete has you have to play that sort of way”

I’m sold !

Someone has to convince me that about signing a striker!

Mayenda, new contract - surely assured minutes. Guiu, game time clause in his contract - surely assured minutes. Isidor - first choice striker for most of last season, surely going to play a part. I just don’t see the need for a fourth striker, given for the majority of the season they will be competing for one position.

Potentially Mayenda/Isidor covering the wings as well, but we’re also targeting another winger in addition to Talbi Roberts adingra Mundle.

(Not a negative post btw, strength in depth is hardly a bad thing, just don’t see the need for it atm)
These strikers are yound and wet behind the ears for the most part, but let's be honest, they aren't going to get us enough goals to stay up, despite their talent. We need another experienced striker imo. We're in the big league now.

Our players have lived in places other than Sunderland for decades, it's never been a problem, and I don't expect it to become one now, even if someone could virtually identify an exact position of where one has taken a 'photo from !
I visited Andy Hunt & his wife (work) at his home on The Quayside when he played for Curly Perm, I've had cuppas at Lee Clark's, Steve Howey's Pavel Srnicek's houses (and a few more), but I've never thought about doing anything that I shouldn't 'cos I support a rival team.

Speaking of which, and to lighten the mood, the first time that I met Keegan was in the changing rooms at Benwell training ground about 34 years ago (November '91, I think), where he was nude on his way to the showers (that's probably a claim to fame) <yikes>
‘kin hell man…. just about to have me dinner!!

He's the right choice. An outstanding leader with so much elite experience.

It's worth noting that it's not just Dan Neil relinquishing duties here but Xhaka is talking about captain on and off the field. I think we now have one captain with O'Nien stepping back from "club captain" as well.

If Neil takes all of this the right way, he could learn so much from Xhaka.
I don't think Onien will be stepping back from club captain, RLB has said he announce his leadership group when the window shuts.

how much money are these daft Saudi clubs pissing up the wall. I know their pockets are deep, but its just daft.

I think another question to ask as well is why are so many players going there for big money, but leaving after a very short space of time. Only Ronaldo seems happy there, Neymar saw out his contract and left but loads of others seem to want out very quickly before the end of the contract.

I remember him calling himself a Geordie when we played fulham in the cup

That’s just general ****e players say though ain’t it?

It’s not the same as Chopra or Clark where we got burned.

Lads big, hard as nails and a goalscorer. I’d be game as **** to see him here.

We aren’t linked like, but we were few weeks back.

I tell you what mind, Mitrovic would do damage here.

Would be such a great pick up and he is very different to what we have.

I don’t give a **** he’s ex Mag he doesn’t care about them.

Won't come to England for at least another you was same reason Henderson went to Ajax so didn't have to tax on money made in the Saudi league

They have to pay a loan fee if Guiu doesn't play a certain amount of games.
That's different to guaranteed gametime - nobody will have that as the club wants competition and players pushing each other to improve.

not sure I've said it on here definitely to mates, imo, and I hope it's not for a few years yet because I like RLB,but I think it'll end up one of thoes rare situations where Xhaka is a player on day, then interim manger/coach the next.
I love RLB but does anyone really believe he will still be our head coach in 10 years, I'd love him to be so successful that he was mind.
I've got a feeling KLD is planning for a lot further than we think, possibly signing experience players he thinks are capable of stepping up. First bring them in to the coaching set up , then when the time is right.
He has invested heavily in the academy, so why not set up your own management academy within the club also.
Just a thought
