Yep,sympathy mate. We've had these players before, glad we've avoided this one. Having said that,he is a talented player....he'll probably come good for you and get 15 goals! Nothing would make me happier than to see Leeds and ourselves cement ourselves in this league and have a real good go at upsetting the mediocrity that exists from places 10 to 15!
My take on it - We have been after a striker since we knew which division we would be playing in. Virtually every linked striker has also been linked with other clubs including yourselves, a bit like goalkeepers.

A couple were ambitious and they went to bigger clubs (bigger as in this moment in time) and slowly the choices left are a very small pool of players, Josh Sargent was the latest. Muniz was the player we had seemed to pin our hopes on but he isn't worth £35m yet alone £50m and this weekend he has come out and said he wants to join Atlanta. I think we have moved for DCL as there is nothing out there that is appealing or doable

Silly signing as he isn't going to stay fit, my only hope is that he stays fit long enough to get us out the blocks with an early win against Everton

Bakwa to forest is a strange one. They already spent 40 million on a right winger this summer, Diouf from Bologna.

I hope it's not the case, but it sounds like a bit of our PL history, where we would sign someone who we thought would do it,only to be let down.
I really hope this is not the case with Leeds. As I've said,us and you in the PL next season,if we can survive and make a difference, seeing Burnley and two others go down, would really light the touchpaper!

DCL could very well score the goals that keeps Leeds in the league, if that happened, hindsight would be splashed around a bit I bet. Would rather have Welbeck or even Vardy (given we have already signed Guiu).

I do wonder if we just stick to the three lads we have. Watched a bit Guiu last night for the first time, has so many good/promising attributes. Strong mentality and graft, doesnt give up, especially with chances into the box. Decent pace and strength, good feet. He essentially looked very raw to me, with a bit luck we have caught him at the right time.

I still think Mayenda is the man this year, if he keeps it up it might take him a couple of months, but I think by Christmas, he will learn a lot and if we can keep ticking by, he will start to do really well.

I wish Mundle was fit, would feel a lot better about the wings if he was, think hes another who would do well in this league.

Hadn't realised Zuriko Davitashvili hadn't moved. Apparently St Etienne aren't selling but he'd be a good signing. Played a lot on the right for Bordeaux even if he is right footed.

What's crazy is we have already signed an out of contract player who's the German opposite of DCL with 7 full international caps

It makes no sense why we would go for two players who's injury record is atrocious

Think Guiu is very good for us.Mayenda is going to be a real handful. We just need to get the service into them.

Honestly I’m happy with that because they’ll likely not sign another, he’ll be on big wages and they’ve been linked to a lot better.

That's a good point.

I'd have taken him but would've always thought, 'Cudda done better' and I'd rather Mayenda was given the chance.

Still, good to see the 'news' has taken the attention away from Roberts for a few pages <laugh>

Must say I wouldn't want him. Too much time out of the game . Could have been a belting player. Mind, if you get thirty games out of him, ( I know), he'll get a dozen goals.
Not sure I’d bet on that. 26 appearances last season and only 3 goals, 32 appearances the year before and 7 goals. In fact he’s only hit double figures in the league twice (20/21 and 19/20) which surprised me!
