I don't think we need or should get another CF, Mayenda and Isidor have the potential to step up, I think they will, and Guiu rounds the three options off.

That's a good shout and I agree to a degree. However, there are signs that we are absolutely going for it this season. None of our three strikers have outstanding goal tallies (yet) so it feels like we could spring a surprise on a relatively big name. Goalscoring might be an area we don't want to leave to chance and go for a bit more of a sure thing.

It looks to me like Guiu was our last signing for the position, highly rated and big wages I think. It'd be a bit strange to sign Isidor and Mayenda on long term contracts, also sign Guiu and then sign a marquee CF making them third or fourth choice and barely getting a sniff.
I think we're backing what we've got in that position and imo it's the right call.
