I agree. I knew we had to get some players in to play and guide those that won the playoffs, maybe older experienced players from whereever but nothing like this. And although the club don't give anything away, I agree with you and others - I think there's little hints in posts announcing players that something major is coming, something I think could beat Diarra's fee and really make the league sit up

Glad we seem to have got a CB over the line. Can we get him announced so he can play tomorrow? No idea who’s going to be playing there in that game.
 
Alderete is not in the squad for Getafe's final friendly match against Lyon due to an undisclosed injury that has bothered him throughout the preseason.

Alderete has yet to see action in the preseason, and it's unclear if the defender will be ready to feature in the Liga opener against Celta Vigo on Aug. 17. He's been linked with a move away from the club, with Leeds United showing interest in him, but those talks have gained enough traction yet.

This was posted on news article yesterday! Hopefully he’s not injured for West Ham

Was also described as “minor discomfort” wonder if it’s one of those transfer related injuries

I'm not sure how true that all is considering he did play 45 minutes against Real Oviedo on 26th July. He's definitely participated in their preseason. He's expected to leave and has already been replaced so it's not surprising he's not been overly involved though
