Maybe reading too much into Masuaka rumour but makes me wonder if we see Reinildo as a more serious CB option. Had assumed he was mainly going to be a LB

From a WBA fan page

Bologna are in advanced talks to sign West Brom’s Torbjørn Heggem.

An initial €6m bid was rejected, but [HASHTAG]#WBA[/HASHTAG] now want €8m + €2m bonuses.

A 4-year deal is being discussed, with optimism he’ll replace Lucumí.

Negotiations “going in the right direction.”

On Thursday, TuttoBolognaWeb reported that Bologna were trying to quickly find an agreement with West Bromwich Albion for defender Torbjørn Heggem.

A fee of €10m was needed to finalise an agreement and a four-year deal was offered to the Norwegian.

TuttoBolognaWeb now report that the Italian side are in close contact with Heggem’s agent in an attempt to agree personal terms with the 26-year-old.

They claim that a deal is still very much open and West Brom are showing an inclination towards the player’s sale.

An initial bid of €6m has been made by Bologna but it was rejected by the Baggies, and a new offer is about to be put forward.

West Brom have now softened their demand for Heggem as they will now be happy with a fee of €8m and bonuses of €2m. This demand seems to be favourable for Bologna, who are continuing to negotiate with the Midlands club.

Things are going in the right direction, with the outlet confident that a four-year deal is being worked on.

Il Resto del Carlino are also growing in optimism about a move, reporting that Heggem is now Bologna’s preferred target to replace Jhon Lucumí this summer.

Easy to read too much into it mate, I’m the same.

Possibility we see reinildo as a CB option by virtue of not getting our main targets at that position done just yet

perhaps cirkin is off/injured longer term and we don’t want to stretch ourselves financially with LB cover preferring to keep our cash for the CB positions

many different possibilities and we won’t truly find out.

Masuaku is a different option.

if Dennis is away you’ve got reinildo who’s more defensive and masuaku who’s much better on the ball.

his defending is meh, but he has prem experience.

it’s a weird one but might just be a squad filler on a free

I can only assume it means Cirkin is away (if true) as there would be no reason to get him otherwise.

31 and going to AFCON though. Not convinced.

or cirkin has had an injury setback

or we can’t get our CB targets done and would rather play Reinildo there so need more cover at LB

But yes it could also mean cirkin is leaving

I’m with you particularly AFCON wise

I’d be quite happy with it purely for some depth and squad options. We really need strength in depth for me

any addtion to our squad is a welcomed one,

its experince we need and covers a few roles at the back,

Premier league experienced LB competition on free with Cirkin injured and potentially not renewing contract seems logical to me.

Even if he does renew, how long till he's injured again. He'd probably strain his finger holding the pen knowing him.
We cannot relly on him next season at all. Huggins can play there which is a positive or come in on the Right and Hume can move to the left which we saw quite alot before Huggins got injured, but again Huggins is a worry too as is Alese who can also cover LB.

Reinildo used more at cb and an ermergency on if it’s needed maybe?

Hopefully get it on my firestick :emoticon-0103-cool:
I don't want to tell my granny how to suck eggs, because I am not at all computer literate.
I have McAfee on my laptop and noticed it has a VPN (I ain't got a clue how to use it) but, without it switched on I couldn't purchase Saturdays game. With it turned on and set to Australia, I managed to purchased it.

Watching it might be another issue :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

How much would Reinildo play at Afcon? Would he be gone a fortnight or longer? His country are ****e

Assuming we get dispensation for him to play against Newcastle, he's be gone from 14th December to 31st December then come back for start of Jan. Barring a miracle for Mozambique he'd only miss 3 games (Maybe 4 games if he's not up to speed for 3rd Jan).

My only concerns with Masuaku are his lack of pre season and AFCON. Hopefully he's been keeping himself right and can jump straight in.
