Yeah but it took off and flew to strasbourg(Yeah I personally dont think there is anything other than weather issues for planes at play, as much as I love the rumours

Seen a lot of other fans saying we haven’t signed proven PL players and all this balls. For 1) which established PL players are going to leave to come to us and 2) the reality is when we’re looking at the next level below of players we could potentially attract who’ve played at this, £100m gets you Harvey Elliot and Tyler Dibling.

CB anxiety has become a public health issueThe comment was supposed to be counter intuitive but I guess I misjudged the deadly serious nature of the thread![]()

Edit
More even than flights and weather

It’s clearly a competitive position to fill and there’ll be a lot to weigh up and balance. I’d love us to nail it of course but we can’t let no news drive us mad when we know we have people appearing from nowhere.I keep seeing phrases like 'absolutely critical' and 'totally desperate for two CBs' ...
... be nice and I'm hoping the club can sort it but my excitement, getting off the train at St Peters' on the 16th, won't be affected in the slightest.
The club are clearly, couldn't be clearer, doing everything possible, that'll do me.
Probably a lot less than half I reckon, as far as I'm aware the only place north of the Tyne with any significant numbers is Ashington, so you're looking at south Tyneside towns like South Shields, Jarrow, Hebburn etc and they're probably more Newcastle than Sunderland these days, you can find Sunderland supporters within all the towns within the modern County Durham borders (non tyne and wear) such as Durham, Chester-le-Street, Lanchester, Bishop, Crook, Spennymoor, Newton Aycliffe and so on.
Live there now, see the odd shirt but very few and far betweenGrowing up in cramlington I was 1 of very few mind
Surprised he hasn’t been snapped up yet. Would walk straight into our side
Yep. Desperate at CBI'd take the ****er in a heart beat cat kicker or not

Sunlun take over everywhere we gooooooWell that's 3 of us in Cram, and the missus makes 4.
Samson and Delilah might need to steer clear then?I'd take the ****er in a heart beat cat kicker or not
I understand the sentiment, but the fact you wished you were in Sunderland just means you wish you were the one doing the smacking instead of being smacked.
People in Sunderland, especially young lads from council estates were very capable of otherising Geordies, they were seen as fair game when I was growing up, might as well of been from another planet, I remember some lad from Boldon drinking with us in the Boroughs saying wor instead of our mid sentence and everything just went quiet, he would have got lamped if he wasn't with one of the lads. I realise how ridiculous that sounds now, but when you're young and daft you don't know what you're doing half the time.
I do think it's all a bit different now mind.
We definitely need to sign 2 CBs imo, but I'm not sure we are at the desperate stage yetYep. Desperate at CB
My daughter now lives in one of the new build estates in Cramlington, when I visit all I've seen is Mag shirts. I would love to see the the odd Sunderland one.Well that's 3 of us in Cram, and the missus makes 4.
Yeah I definitely agree there. Was really hoping the defence was sorted for the West Ham game. Not particularly confident as it standsWe definitely need to sign 2 CBs imo, but I'm not sure we are at the desperate stage yet
What I mean by that is we still just under a month until the window closes so the aim is still to get real quality in by then
Zouma was a good player, but last 2 seasons I don't think hes played at a good level. Yes folk can say he's better than what we have now but we can definitely sign a lot better than him and that has to be the aim

Yep i wouldn't be confident either, however, that can change quickly. Hopefully we get someone in early this week so they can play this weekend with Ballard, just so they can get some minutes together.Yeah I definitely agree there.
