Page 1978, loved that season and the 5-1 against Sheff Utd.

Hitched up from Worksop and was picked up, on the A1, by a minibus full of Sheff Utd nutters armed with knuckle-dusters, etc.

I had to pretend I was United and waffled on about Tony Currie and Alan Woodward ...

... they'd planned to attack Sunderland fans near the bridge, I got out near the Fort and ran as fast as I could <laugh>

Giui is a bit of a surprise link. I do like him, strong as a bull, really agrssive in the box, good in the air. Apart from the good in the air bit he is a bit similar to Mayenda in my opinion. I would have thought he needs a loan in Europe where he might find things a bit easier tbh.

I think he will be when hes developed a bit as he has the frame to do it, but imo looked strong vs the likes of shamrock rovers and whatever armenian team they played but got pushed about against good centre halves - the promising thing is that doesnt stop him trying and he goes into every 50/50 thinking hes winning it.

But not as painful as being dragged along by the baggies <laugh>

You're thinking of the 6-2 mate.

We had to win by four clear goals, to go top, and Siddall saved a penalty late on ...

... great game that, snow flurry, Sabella played a blinder and we battered them.
