when you consider what they done in other sports, take golf for example, i think they paid rahm 50% more alone than what they bought NUFC for

for a sports washing project its the one projects of theres that they arent really going for it
The other sports washing projects have took off, they don’t need to throw money at Newcastle. They probably didn’t realise how much they’d need to spend, and the natives took the piss wearing black n white headdresses, that’s not the Saudi colour. Shop shouters sold their souls for sweet F A.

Also got 3 of them playing out of position, all 3 on the back 4 as well
So hamstrung by injuries at the back, really need some movement soon, reinildo back Saturday hopefully will help, that and Huggins will have had a rest period so should be okay to play 45 too

To be fair it has absolutely nothing to do with the wishes of the supporters mate.

He's a pro-player who's either not wanted or refusing to sign a new contract.

Only he and the club know why, I just don't think he's doing himself any favours.

He had the chance to sign a contract in the Championship but, in my opinion, thought he'd be given a much better one this season in the PL ...

... unfortunately he's now way down the pecking order and the club has overtaken him.

For his own personal practical purposes, Dan should have signed his deal last season.

I know I bang on about this, but that first "set up for life" contract is everything for a pro footballer. It is the thing any agent should aim to secure for his player. Dan Ballard for instance, if he is unlucky enough to get a profound injury is " set up" now. Even on that one contract.

Moves and more money will probably come, but the first one is life changing. Dan Neil hasn't got that yet, and one accident or bad injury and he doesn't get it. His agent is rolling the dice with his future.

Probs need another centre mid if/when Neil leaves. Unless he gives aleksic a chance. Can see Browne leaving in the next few weeks too

It's not just in defence, Isidor and Rigg will play loads next season and they would have been rotated in with the 1st teamers

I don't see the point in playing many of these lads with the 1st teamers as they wont feature next season. I am surprised Roberts hasn't been given more minutes with the 1st teamers but suppose he has already built a relationship with Hume and Mayenda so likely want Talbi to build those relationships

Hate to talk about them on this thread but what makes me laugh is this notion about them not getting what they thought they would (ie buying titles and a load of world class talent). That shouldn’t have mattered when it came to the people they thought were paying for this have murdered innocents and are some of the worst human rights abusers on the planet.

But they protested for it none the less, celebrated it, bragged about it. I still think they’ll ultimately get their success, but it is nice to watch them squirm and try to rewrite history even if it’s for a little bit. Unluckily for them, the articles, the pictures, the videos will be there forever of how they went on for that takeover as shown by Oliver Holt yesterday.

That's the thing. There will always be another, freshly minted story about some abominable behaviour in Saudi Arabia. Abominations are the norm there

I do try to bite my lip when folk say he could have signed. I am sure he could have, but only if he felt it was right for him. Maybe the two parties have differences of opinions, doesnt make either party right or wrong. Speculating on whether he didnt sign for whatever reasons isnt fair on him.

I think he should have signed, but I think it FOR him. You just never know in football, injured players just fade away. He is too good not to get set up, and I would hate to see something stop that for him.

A move is always possible later, but a bird in the hand, for a footballer is worth two hundred in the bush.

I genuinely think they’ll never get the success that they expected. And that’s not my red and white blood talking.

Well. We need these defenders and goalkeepers in sharp like. Can’t have this defence and goalie going into west ham
