I still feel we will get one of our top targets CB wise, it seems like its only at GK where we have missed out on our 'perceived' top targets

Wonder if that’s why the Madrid lad story popped up again, can’t see them letting him go on a perm, if we can’t land top keeper targets then it makes sense to loan a good one especially given it’s World Cup year so good players need to be playing, there will be plenty ‘number 2’ keepers that would improve usI've said all along that I believe our two top loan targets are a keeper and a striker.
Not sure Patto will make it due to a minor injury he has right now, the sound coming out of the club through Phil Smith and others and RLB himself we are right in the market for a keeper currently. Suppose we will find out soon!I've said all along that I believe our two top loan targets are a keeper and a striker ...
... and I think neither will start against West Ham, Patterson and Mayenda will be given a chance at first.
If Patterson keeps a clean sheet and Mayenda scores it'll set a precedent that may continue.
Possibly, personally never keen on a loan keeper but if the right one doesn't crop up to buy then I could see it.I've said all along that I believe our two top loan targets are a keeper and a striker ...

We’ve been pretty savvy with loans before and I expect we will be again, I like that we use them for lads that are unobtainable on a perm or with a view to a perm if we succeed, everyone winsAs far as I know Sunderland have said little about loans but I'd guarantee they're being constantly monitored.
The conundrum is that you can get a decent loan in now ...
... it's waiting til the last minute that can bag you an Amad imo.
(Not that I'm making that comparison')

Definitely think a striker though and I just have a suspicion it could be a right back or winger for the other. Suppose we'll find out within a month.
Newcastle have just signed an expensive keeper I wouldn't want.
There are some very good European keepers who might be tempted with a loan but would only sign as guaranteed number one.
I could see us loaning one with an option to buy and that would be more tempting, for him, than a three year deal with no escape clause.
Captaincy = disappointing, for me.CAPTAIN

If he is made captain then I can’t see how Neil is staying personally. I understand being ruthless but taking the captaincy off someone who hasn’t done a lot wrong doesn’t feel right to me. Vice captain would have made sense so he gets the armband anyways if Neil isn’t playing.Captaincy = disappointing, for me.
Don’t make me believe Amad is coming backWith our new signings we've boxed ourselves into a bit or a corner.
Purchases for an Amad type on calibre were totally out of the question so it had to be a loan ...
... now we've reached a level where they're becoming a possibility which is scary![]()
