Stefan Schwarz (Valencia), Lorik Cana (Marseille), Darren Bent (Spurs), Stephane Sessegnon (PSG), John O'Shea/Wes Brown (Man Utd), Emanuele Giaccherini (Juventus) are some of the biggest in my memory but this is right up there with those, perhaps better than most of these considering we're newly promoted.

We have signed some genuine top class players over the years. I cant remember signing a more decorated player than Thomas Helmer though, at least in my time. He had won the lot as captain of Bayern. Two time Euro finalist with the great Germany side, once winner. He was elite on club and international stage. He came to us rather than Liverpool. Best not dwell on what happened next of course.
