We have signed some genuine top class players over the years. I cant remember signing a more decorated player than Thomas Helmer though, at least in my time. He had won the lot as captain of Bayern. Two time Euro finalist with the great Germany side, once winner. He was elite on club and international stage. He came to us rather than Liverpool. Best not dwell on what happened next of course.

 

Oh yeah I forgot about him, probably because he played twice but yes I agree as far as profile is concerned he deserves to be on my list.
