If Lucumi comes in next, we’ve got some cracking left footers the squad: Xhaka. Rigg, Mayenda, Roberts, Cirkin, Alese and Lucumi.

news on some players has went extremely quiet, like Diakite and Creswell. Expect a “here we go” out of the blue at any moment, although who knows where to.

Couldn't have been any quieter on Xhaka, to be honest, none of the experts had a clue yesterday.

Cheers mate it would have been if hadn’t been for my childhood dog passing on Saturday but the xhaka news definitely helped
Ah mate, I’m so sorry. I’m a huge animal lover and always have a dog with me, so I have an idea of what you’re going through and how you’ll be feeling right now. It gets easier with time but you’ll never ever forget them. Take care.

Cheers she was my first one so it’s hitting hard I find it’s hard to explain to non animal lovers house feels wrong but I’ve a feeling the worst part for a while will be not having her there to greet me when I get home

It’s worse than a person dying for me, personally. With people you see them from time to time and go through periods of not seeing them at all but a dog is by your side, all of the time. You’re out walking with them, feeding them, caring for them when they’re poorly, playing with them, sitting cuddling them. All of that builds a close bond that when it goes, you’re lost and don’t know what to do with yourself, apart from the obvious heartbreak you have to go through.

You make such a bond with them, like you said, it’s hard to explain to people who aren’t animal lovers.

Humans don’t give you the reciprocal love, loyalty and honesty you get from a dog. Amazing beings so they are.

I think you’ve nailed it on the head really I can’t look at what would’ve been her height without seeing her. She was old and being kept going with medication but doesn’t make it any easier

I’m just happy it happened at home was away she wasn’t even back 24 hours when it happened so it could’ve been a lot worse if my holiday was a day longer

I always feel sorry for the people of Hull.

They were bombed to bits in the war, are stuck in the land that time forgot and stand on a drainage ditch that runs into the Humber.

If people in Lincoln look down on your town you know you've hit rock bottom ...

... if anyone has been to a place called ''Out Newton' they probably feel quite scarred.

I dated a girl from there are she was really weird, her family were worse.

So do I…..they had to put up with me living there for a year in 1991/92 <laugh><laugh><laugh>

Sympathise with you. They are irreplaceable because you never forget them, but looking on the bright side, when the time is right, the next one you get will be your new best mate. I’ve had dogs all my life. We’ve got a Boxer at the moment and he is brilliant!

@malagamackem ... is this the fella who was in the Zurich hotel at the weekend?

No chance this all happened today, impossible.

Never mind how much we paid for the jet....how much did KLD pay to have to jet on standby more or less knowing everything eas ongoing & likely to happen. Realistically, why would BL let Xhaka speak with us, agree terms if they didn't think there was a strong chance of this going through

Appreciate the info as ever & im sure @malagamackem will be enjoying his day as the final touches are sorted...have a good one gents, fingers crossed for couple more in this week
