    Here's a question.

    Could we go after Pickford?

The one right in the coast?

It’s incredible that gaff. There’s sea views and there’s hanging your toe off your wall into the sea.

Not beyond the realms of possibility is it? How would that be for a mentor to Patto

What a night to be a lads fan.....what a club KLD is building

It's never dull being a lads fan...beyond everything any one of us could have imagined when Tommys shot nestled into the corner of that net.

    Pinching myself here. GX ffs.

Big elephant in the room is the 150k week contract they’ve offered him.

    We can’t do that.

And one of us. Without the Saudi tarnish and the lack of legs.

The fact he’s one of the absolute best out there as well.

Fantasy island mate. People would combust.

I sorted tickets for Dave's sons at Wembley, against Sheff Utd, and they were at the Argyll ...

... they were brought up in that house..

Their neighbour, at Whitburn, was Mike Neville from Look North, who sorted tickets for me to go to the playoff semi-final at SJP ...

... amazing how we're all connected and part of a big family.

I’ve spent the day showing this new lad the ropes and only now I get to check my favourite thread for the news :emoticon-0106-cryin:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm I’m up to page 1876 (11:53) so don’t be suprised if your dated post gets liked by me.

Thinking about it Sadiki would be the perfect partner in a double pivot with Xhaka, as Xhaka is not really a player that's going to be diving about and winning the ball back, Sadiki would be the engine while Xhaka could be a deep lying playmaker. But surely Enzo and Diarra start over him in a midfield three.

Very interested to see what our starting line up will be as Im not sure we will start with Xhaka as a 6 on his own.

    You missed nothing mate.

Loads of people claimed the deal was dead, nothing was happening and on Sunday there were no new reports whatsoever.

Only Malaga had been in contact with Xhaka but his messages were generally shot down ...

... then, on Monday morning everyone claimed they'd known about it all along <laugh>

Tbf so far we don't seem to have a lone sitter like we did last season, when watching the first three games all 3 midfielders were fluid and swapping positions, almost looked like a double pivot at times
