Aye. And we haven’t seen sustained success.

Those playoffs changed something I feel. Being underdog, off form, tense.

The ****ing unity of the lads and the fans willed it to happen.

The way it happened.

I bet even the man KLD himself looked and thought ‘fuuuuuck’

I’ll never forget the surreal moment a grown, not unsubstantial man flew airborne over me after Ballard scored.

Something came to life that night and KLD is feeding it raw meat.
You’re a poetic motherfucker Nads. Cap doffed!

I’m really struggling to think of a single footballer who fits the bill for what we need right now more than Xhaka. Feels like the perfect signing for where we’re at

And aye that’s coming from me, the right miserable curnť <laugh>

I’m in the Hull posh seats tomorrow. Not sure where exactly but dress code. I wonder if he’s nearby.

We were in their hospitality when Phil Brown was the manager and had to stand through his Christmas address.

It was free drink so we managed and, from memory, we won 4-1.

We were thrown out of hospitality when Malbranque scored but, if you behave, you might see Xhaka <laugh>

Driving (not drinking) and there with a pregnant work colleague so the sensible odds go up slightly. Would be class if he was there.
At Hull Travelodge tonight. Living the dream. It’s like an ASBO festival. Music, shopping trolleys, ambulances and a lot of alcohol and piss.,

I’m not predicting. I’m speculating. No more no less. That’s what message boards are for. KLD remains the best thing that has happened to the club in my lifetime. He’ll remain that until he doesn’t. The club hasn’t got everything right to date, though. And while what we’ve done this summer certainly looks very promising, it definitely isn’t a guarantee of success. Always worth discussing over the pros and cons
You are right that the club have made mistakes, however it is also worth pointing out that they quickly learned from them and that IMO have gotten more right than wrong.
I think your post was well balanced but came across a little bit more negative than cautious, at a time when people were generally just trying to celebrate.
I do agree however that where we are at the moment will require good management and some diligence from the directors and the board to ensure that the vision and plan for development is not lost.
Looking from the outside in, it does seem like as a club we are managing this very well at the moment and I expect this to continue. I only expected at the most 3 or 4 signings and for maybe 2 or 3 to leave but it looks like the club have loftier ambitions which makes me very optimistic.
All in all it is a good time to be a fan and whilst the past few years have jaded us all I feel myself throwing caution to the wind and think I will just enjoy the ride.

I always feel sorry for the people of Hull.

They were bombed to bits in the war, are stuck in the land that time forgot and stand on a drainage ditch that runs into the Humber.

If people in Lincoln look down on your town you know you've hit rock bottom ...

... if anyone has been to a place called ''Out Newton' they probably feel quite scarred.

I dated a girl from there are she was really weird, her family were worse.

The old town is canny now mind. We do a bit of work here so see the grim side but quite like the other bits.
