100%. I personally think from what we are hearing we just aren’t going to get close to an agreement with Leverkusen really. For us to get him cheaper we’d need him to be kicking up a fuss and not playing and he’s not gonna do that.

Agree. We could really use it in the spine of the team. RLB said just as much after hearts too. But if we aren’t going to pay the fee it takes then it won’t happen. He’s got three years on his deal, is part of their leadership group and is still a top player. Not sure why we think he could go for so cheap

Agree. They have no reason to budge and we won’t go there. I know some think we shouldn’t but I honestly think we should for a player like him.
We need some proper experience with quality and he ticks all the boxes. When a player like him agrees terms and wants to come here it’s a shame to not get it done

Xhaka ortega and one of the centre half’s linked wouldn’t be superb going into the first game, plenty experience in those 3 too
