I still see myself as relatively young (38) and even I remember being on holiday in Spain during the summer as an adult and having to buy YESTERDAYs British papers to catch up on transfer window news. Stuff that was already essentially two days late.

The speed of technology advancement and immediacy of information is scary and I think overall not great for mental health.
recall me dad buyong papers when we were in south of France in 2005 to find out news.

crazy what we have now at our fignertips

A case of getting what we wished for, not being that good/healthy a thing.

I’ve been in Spain 10 days and haven’t been I kinda miss when that’s what you had to do

This is literally us and jobe but the other way around, a fee will be agreed in the end I reckon
The facts speak for themselves:

A bid to BL must have been made that was acceptable or nearly acceptable to allow us to speak to the lad.
The BL must then have granted permission to speak with lad and his agent.
Both parties agreed personal terms in fairly short order.
The Lads agent then puts out the press release stating he will only sign for Sunderland and that everything is agreed personally.
All other interested Clubs have then backed off
Both Clubs are negotiating the final fee.

ETH is immaterial to the proceedings

Granit Xhaka has agreed terms to join Sunderland, with the Premier League side now locked in talks to agree a fee with Bayer Leverkusen.

The German club have been pushing for a fee of about £15million for the 32-year-old former Arsenal midfielder. Sunderland are thought to have had a lower offer already turned down.

Newly promoted Sunderland are prepared to give Xhaka a three-year deal if he returns to England. The Saudi Pro League side Neom SC and Turkey’s Fenerbahce have also been keen on signing the player, who has instead decided he wants to return to the Premier League and play for Régis Le Bris.

Look on the bright side mate. At least the accuracy of the media, and quality of journalism is so much better. Oh, hang on a minute there...

The thing is, it says a lower fee rejected?

How much lower? 2 million? 5 million? We don’t have a clue how close we really are to agreeing a fee.

Sacha reckoned it was a 10m deal, I think £10-15m is quite reasonable me for his quality, I wouldn't be shocked to see us agree a fee sooner rather than later after KLD has spent weeks just trying to convince Xhaka to come
