They granted permission to talk to usIs tapping up just not a thing anymore because it looks like that's exactly what we and many other clubs are openly doing nowadays. Weird.
This is a very good pointsTwo days ago Bayer had 'all the power' when several clubs were in for Xhaka and they thought they could have a bidding war on their hands. Yesterday changed all that and they are now seemingly reduced to posturing in the media while they try to get as much as they can out of us. It's nice to see us ruffling some feathers in Germany this summer and I don't think they like it lol

maybe it is.Don't understand why that happens when a bid is nowhere near to being accepted.
Hopefully we are closing other deals while this one drags on, would hate for this to be the sole focus of the week

Not sure you can stop people talking now, isn’t it similar to the Bosman craic?
You can’t stop them discussing and such, you can hold form on fees etc.
This is why Forest pissed off at Spurs, but they just delaying inevitable.
Always felt like it would get quiet during the preseason tour, think it'll all pick up now2 weeks today since our last signing so we're definitely "due" something after being spoilt for 2 weeks earlier in end June and early July.
Forest are pissed off at Spurs because they bid the EXACT amount of his release clause which was supposed to be confidential. Spurs shouldn't have known it, so the agent leaked it. Really they should be pissed off at the agent not Spurs.
I think a broad consensus of what’s needed will have been agreed before permission to talk was given, it’s in no one’s interest to let a player get an offer they want to pursue if you’re not letting them do so. That just asks for trouble. I think in principle a figure has been agreed and now it’s down to structure of payments and add ons. Either that or they’ve changed their mind about selling but that’s very risky.Don't understand why that happens when a bid is nowhere near to being accepted.
