I’d put down an extra 3m euro and kindly remind them that the player is wanting a move.
 
We’d be ****ing livid if one of our players agents did what Xhaka’s agent did. Imagine if Ian Harte did that for Jack Clarke.

No problem at all with Leverkusen doing what they can to get the most money out of us.

we just need to be patient and consistent with what our best offer is.

no problems. It’s just negotiating. They’re taking a hard stance of not wanting to sell him.

they were never going to say “well he wants to go, here you go then Sunderland we’ll accept that offer we originally rejected”

Also has any other outlet backed up this BILD report?

pretty sure everyone has said we were in talks today over a fee. This is just them saying they want a decent one

And to be fair to Ten Hag, he hasnt said anything wrong. I dard say if the agent of one of ours put this in the media in the way he has we would applaud a hard line response.

If we want him we are going to have to pay more than we would like. That is my sense of it. Leverkuesen cant be in need of the money.

That's usually the way. Everyone wants to think they've got a good deal.

As for Ten Hag, if I were him, I'd keep quiet, given what others at his club have said. If the player does move, to here or anywhere, he will look ridiculous.

Though looking ridiculous is nowt new to him!
