The only teams linked so far are monaco and psv, slightly further from london!

Very few meet that criteria. Cresswell is an obvious one but outside of that i'm struggling. Welbeck maybe? Not sure on the attainable aspect though.

I think our best bet for getting British lads into the team is to continue the academy pathway and continue to look at academy players at top end clubs as long term signings.

I see very few options for the short term.

Yeah the cost of british players is just so high that it's hard to bring them in and be good enough for what we want

I like Hutchinson but he's going to cost the same as Talbi and Lauriente combined

There will be some bargin british players out there, we all know who I want as a CM option and he would be cheap. I like cresswell a lot but then we get linked with someone like Diakite and it changes what to expect at cb

End of the day this won’t be the club pushing them out. Some players will expect to be on wages similar to the new signings and some might have their head turned by interested clubs.

Club have done what they can do and signed a replacement quick.

the club won’t be pushing Mundle out of the door imo

We are definitely in the conversation re Miller. We were mentioned in some Scottish papers and also on a BBC thing the other day.

I think there’s a definite real ‘had a look’ at the very least.

Never knew that ( I'm not saying he's going to come here) thought he was doing really well over there.

He is what I picture a sunderland player to be, in opponents face and just horrible to play against but the lad has talented

One of my favourite players, I don't think it would be possible at all but what a signing it would be to get someone like him

How much do you think it would cost? 40-50m potentially? I’d love it but probably out of our reach

Maybe Reinildo can have a word!

The moment we were promoted I accepted things would change forever and things would get serious quickly.

Players we'd admired and who we believed were here for years are suddenly 'drifting away'.

Others who we'd thought would be 'good solid options', like Mepham look Championship standard.

Dan Neil was a shoo in but isn't even guaranteed a start against West Ham.

New coaches and serious scouting is going on round the clock, it seems, and you start to wonder how long Dodds and Proctor would've lasted.

Whatever the case there's nothing to do, it's all out of our hands and we can only sit back and see what happens.

I'm sure KLD is charming but he's not at Sunderland to trust the players, who've helped us to promotion, and keep his fingers crossed ...

... the club has just hit a significant new notch with a big clang and we'll all just have to get used to it.

Aye.

He was phenomenal for Palace, another victim of PSR for Chelsea.

£40m and a salary and a half means no. As does the fact we just aren’t at that level yet.

Aye the only way it would be possible is a loan with a view to signing and I cant see it happening
