Shame if he wants to go but PSV and Monaco both offer CL football don't they?
 
Looking too deep into this, or maybe not?

We opened talks for Lauriente a month ago and nothing happened. All of a sudden, Mundle is linked away, and we get the deal over the line.

All of this happened not long after Fabrizio reported that we were trying to get them to sign a new deal.

If he goes, he goes. Best of luck to him if he wants to play in a different league and have European football.

Moves around quite a lot for a young lad. Spurs, Standard Liege, us, now maybe another.

He’s only 22

Really like Mundle but one bit of criticism is he rarely seems to run in behind. He wants the ball to feet facing the defender and goal. He’ll break from deep, like his goal against Shields + Pompey away.

I’ve only seen highlight videos of Lauriente but he seems to get in behind and turn defenders

Definitely still want another if he's off, although the El Khannous makes a bit of sense as a LW/AM option now to have been linked to.

Mundle leaves and we could sign a LW/AM who's right footed and a left footed RW/ST

Or like we appear to be doing: right footed LW/ST and a left footed RW/AM.

I really rate Mundle but if he wants to leave he can leave. I've no issue with it at all. As long as we get a decent wedge, which we will.

The club have always said they will sell people at the right time, whether that be for them or us. Maybe they think his hamstring won't stack up to the prem and we're cashing in now. Or maybe he wants too much money, who knows <laugh>

I wonder if Roberts will be here at the end of this window. Good player to bring on as a sub but think that is all he will be now. Not guaranteed a place anymore.
