To be fair its always the playoff winning side that neutral supporters just assume will go down. So I do get it. They're not all following our transfer business as closely as we are, and most layman supporters haven't heard of most of our signings. They'll just see it as us buying "untested" kids.
Also, we've had some really exciting links - Bulka, Petrovic, Mikhautadze, Xhaka, Lucumi - but none of them have come off (yet). Sometimes its easy (for me at least) to get caught up in the excitement of what we MIGHT do and forget what we've actually done, which to date includes being weakened in defence (no Mepham). It's imperative we do something about it quickly (and the club are clearly trying so no blame).

Cracking article that and why I'm not too impatient about a striker signing. We def need a third striker, no doubt, but I would have no problems with Mayenda starting at West Ham (or any game)
So have Brentford decided to meet the Ipswich release clause for Hutchinson, but only just after it expired so it means nothing?
How they’re going to pretty much double their money on him I’ve no idea. Everyone keeps saying Brentford have a good model etc so I’m not going to judge too much at the minute but ****ing Keith Andrews as the manager and dropping £35m on Omari Hutchinson isn’t something I’d be owa the knot with as a fan.

Ironically Striker is the position I’m least worried about this window, really think between Mayenda and Isidor we’ve got 2 very good complimentary profiles who do different things and are lethal on the break.
Also really like the look of Abdullahi and think he’s definitely got a future at the club.

Can't fault the owners ambition but being a newly promoted club, it's going to be very tough to get the players we want.
Better than the alternative universe where we didn’t go up and we had daily posts from our mate Nixon linking Neil, Ballard and Hume away for 7 million each
we might have to reel it back slightly on the type of player at some point I think if we keep getting rejected. I don't think that is the case though as it seems to be us getting a bid rejected more than anything for Lucumi but it's a valid thought to have
